Critics Of ICE Build Momentum With Radical Playbook

This isn’t a peaceful protest; it is an organized multi-state criminal conspiracy to obstruct, harass, and impede federal law enforcement. It’s also called insurrection.

As Democrat politicians fan the flames with rhetoric — while gaslighting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and other federal officers and President Trump as the ones inciting violence — an organized and well-funded left-wing coalition of groups is training radical activists to fight ICE.

Renee Nicole Good, the Anti-ICE “warrior” killed by an ICE officer during an attempted arrest, was a member of a key group in this subversive left-wing effort, “ICE Watch.”

As I explained in an earlier piece, neighbors told the New York Post that Good regularly attended meetings with the local ICE-Watch chapter and had received “thorough training” from the group.

She wasn’t an innocent mom simply dropping off her kid at school.

The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), the political and ideological home of NYC’s new communist mayor, Zohran Mamdani, is also part of this campaign. The New York DSA chapter is now mobilizing a similar anti-ICE resistance for NYC.

The New York Post reported that DSA leaders have outlined plans to train roughly 4,000 volunteers, both members and non-members, to participate in what they describe as “rapid response” actions aimed at monitoring and, in some cases, disrupting ICE immigration enforcement operations across the city.

DSA organizers point to the aggressive confrontation tactics against ICE agents in Minnesota as a model for the tactics they hope to bring to New York.

And those tactics are the problem. While carrying signs, chanting, yelling, and blowing whistles to alert illegals and other vigilantes of incoming ICE agents isn’t usually illegal, this isn’t the only thing they are doing.

Using militant tactics learned from Hamas supporters in Gaza against Israeli police and military forces, these far-left anti-ICE groups are training their vigilantes on how to actively resist, impede, and obstruct federal law enforcement while they perform their lawful duties.

They are even training their members on how to physically evade and resist arrest, as well as assault officers, all crimes.

The Minnesota ICE Watch group that Good belonged to shared a “de-arrest primer” on Instagram in June that compares each forced “de-arrest” to a “micro-intifada.”

See most of it in PDF form here.

The manual — apparently published in spring 2024 — outlines four tactics for interfering with arresting officers.

This includes the best ways to yank detainees from police custody — tactic one — which the guide calls moderately risky.

It also suggests “pushing and pulling an officer” from an arrestee, something they call “pushing off” — tactic two — but they admit that has the most risk as it “can get construed as assault in court.”

And that is because it is assault.

Still, the manual tries to justify the risk, arguing the decision to strike is “always contextual,” and claiming that “an arrest or even a general pacified attitude can lead to greater harm than not taking the risk and acting decisively when you see the repression take place.”

Tactic three urges vigilantes to open unlocked doors of law enforcement vehicles to free suspects — a move it also admits “could be considered a crime.”

And tactic four we have seen a lot, swarms of aggressive agitators: “totally surrounding” officers, blocking them and their vehicles, and chanting “Let them go!” until law enforcement “cave to the mounting pressure.”

This is the lowest risk approach.

With some local police departments, such as Minneapolis, being ordered not to protect their fellow federal law enforcement officers from insurrectionist mobs, will this all lead to more violence?

It certainly looks like that’s where we are heading. All the more reason for President Trump to invoke the Insurrection Act and quell this growing rebellion against federal authority.
