Governor Prioritizes Criminals Over Veterans, Cancels Hotel Reservations For Historic Event

This Saturday, Massachusetts has the honor of hosting the Army-Navy football game at Gillette Stadium for the first time. While it should be a good moment for my home state in the spotlight, it is a complete embarrassment.

The national media has now picked up on a story I first reported here that our governor, Maura Healey, bought up all the hotel rooms in the area for illegal immigrants. Our state has welcomed over 7,500 illegal immigrant families that included murderers, pedophiles and sexual predators. These illegals have displaced veterans who had hotel reservations for the game. That’s right; illegals have gotten preferential treatment over the men and women who put their lives on the line to protect our freedoms. It is disgusting!

But, that’s just the tip of the iceberg for illegal immigration in Taxachusetts. The legislature just passed a supplemental budget of $3.1 billion to fund more housing for them and $200 million for lawyers for them! How is the state going to make up for this budget shortfall? Well, it is certainly not going to be hotel tax revenue when illegals are getting free rooms over paying customers. In fact, the state is losing hotel tax revenue hand over fist. Due to the illegals being housed for over 30 days in the hotels, these facilities are no longer classified as hotels so no tax revenue has to be collected. Our governor has declared a state of emergency regarding the influx of illegals. But, she is not trying to stop the influx. The reason she made the declaration is so that she can override all local communities’ rules. So communities that try to fight back by revoking a liquor license for the hotel, can no longer take that action!!!

It is tough up here in the People’s Republic of Massachusetts. And, I can assure you it is not only the veterans who are paying the price but also every hard working taxpayer in the state!
