‘YOU LOOT, WE SHOOT.’ In the aftermath of one of the worst hurricanes in U.S. history, three illegal aliens, and one other who is either a resident or citizen, were caught looting homes in Lee County, Florida.
Hurricane Ian’s ‘ground zero’ was Fort Myers in Lee County. It is one of Florida’s most devastated neighborhoods as rescue teams desperately try and find survivors amid the rubble. (RELATED: CNN’s Don Lemon Desperately Tries to Link Climate Change to Hurricane Ian, He Immediately Regrets It)
Lee County currently has a curfew and a ‘zero-tolerance’ policy against looting.
Governor Ron DeSantis, who has repeatedly reminded the media Florida is a ‘law-and-order’ state, indirectly referenced Joe Biden’s reckless and damaging border and immigration policies, when he quickly pointed out that “they shouldn’t be here at all.”
“These are people that are foreigners, they’re illegally in our country, but not only that, they try to loot and ransack in the aftermath of a natural disaster,” DeSantis added.

The governor’s comments came during a news conference in Fort Myers as he provided an update about the response to Hurricane Ian.
The Daily Mail reported:
The four men were arrested on charges of burglary of an unoccupied structure during a state of emergency, according to online jail records.
The individuals, aged between 20 and 33, were booked for ransacking devastated homes and businesses on Fort Myers Beach while they suffered in the wake of the raging torrent.
The looters were captured picking through the rubble of what’s left of Fort Myers Beach. They all apparently came from areas far outside Ft. Meyers just to loot.
They were charged with ‘Burglary to an Unoccupied Structure during a State of Emergency,’ and released on $35,000 bonds.
DeSantis has also warned that looters and other criminals may try to land in boats to ransack people’s homes.
The Republican governor has repeatedly noted that Florida is also a Second Amendment state meaning many Floridians are legally armed, and the state’s laws, courts and police are sympathetic to their right to lawful and lethal self-defense.
The Daily Mail added:
At the end of the day, we are not going to allow lawlessness to take advantage of this situation. We are a law-and-order state, and this is a law-and-order community, so do not think that you’re going to go take advantage of people who’ve suffered misfortune, said DeSantis.
Newsmax noted:
DeSantis has taken a hard line against looters since Ian struck the Sunshine State and told of a sign he saw in the city of Punta Gorda.
‘They boarded up all the businesses, and there are people that wrote on their plywood, ‘you loot, we shoot,’ DeSantis said.
‘I can tell you, in the state of Florida, you never know what may be lurking behind somebody’s home,’ DeSantis said. ‘I would not want to chance that if I were you, given that we’re a Second Amendment state.’
Republican Attorney General Ashley Moody concurred with the governor and warned would-be looters: ‘These unscrupulous offenders must remain locked up where they can no longer prey on vulnerable Floridians.’
Moody also said: ‘I have asked state attorneys to seek the longest pretrial detention possible to keep them locked up so they cannot commit new crimes.’ ALD

Stupid isn’t it? Do they honestly think those people will ever be seen again? Shoot to kill should be the first thing that happens to all looters after a disaster. That will help the overloaded court system, and save the taxpayer money to take care of them. The same thing should take place along our border states being overwhelmed by the flood of illegals.
