Plans by Democrat insiders to make Kamala Harris the next president of the United States, which started with her selection to be the party's vice presidential nominee, have run into a major obstacle.
Not only is Harris wildly unpopular with voters, even her own party doesn't want her to be President Joe Biden's successor.
A new Yahoo News poll finds that only 36 percent of Democrats would want to see Harris become their presidential nominee should Biden not run for reelection in 2024, with 49 percent of Democrats preferring “someone else.”
Harris' support was weakest among Democrats older than 65 (24 percent,) white Democrats (29 percent) and Democrats making less than $100,000 a year (35 percent).
Harris' support was strongest among black Democrats (54 percent,) Democrats between the ages of 30 to 44 (52 percent) and Democrats making more than $100,000 a year (41 percent).
Harris won a tepid 47 percent of Democrats 29 and younger, with 41 percent preferring someone else. Among Hispanics, Harris garnered 41 percent support with 45 percent preferring someone else.
Harris' support among Democrats drops even further when voters are asked to pick from a field of hypothetical presidential primary candidates.
Only 25 percent of Democrats would support Harris in a field of seven hypothetical candidates, with Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg and California Governor Gavin Newsom tied for second place with 12 percent each.
Massachusetts Senators Elizabeth Warren trails far behind at a distant fifth with eight percent support, with Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar and Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer rounding out the field with five percent each.
Twenty-one percent of Democrats were unsure who they would support.

Neither of Kamala’s parents were U.S. Citizens when she was born.
I suppose if she were nominated, she would choose Willie Brown as her VP. He has brains.

I can’t believe they had to ask. She is a public embarrassment, just like pretty much all the Democrats.
I did not elect this woman and I’m sure most Americans didn’t either. In fact, I wouldn’t hire her to clean my house. She would sit out on the porch and cackle like a kindergarten teacher on pot. .
