In mere minutes, artificial intelligence can extract patterns, identify high-value targets and map critical installations. A training exercise filmed at a base today could become the blueprint for an adversary’s counter-strategy tomorrow.
RedNote’s Legal and Technical Infrastructure: A Security Nightmare
The app’s capabilities are alarming, but its obligations under Chinese law compound the threat. UPDATE: I have been told that the largest RedNote account from a USAF pilot is actually “stealing” her content and posting it on the CCP-controlled app. Assuming she’s telling the truth (and I have no reason to doubt her) this means that someone is sharing her video and metadata with the Chinese without her consent. At the end of the day, we’ve got to get a handle on military influencers and what they’re sharing.
