Republicans Must Respond Judiciously to the Biden Paradox

-

Joe was known as a senator and then as vice president for being loquacious. If ever a politician was in love with the sound of his own voice, it was Biden. He has long thought he was the second coming of Lincoln, FDR, JFK and RFK all in one, and may well be with all the plagiarism of their speeches he committed.

Now as president, he continues to be enamored with hearing himself speak. Yet strangely, when Americans most expect to hear from their president – during a crisis, he is nowhere to be found. And when he and his administration finally emerge, it is not to reassure the American people but to cast blame on someone else.

Inflation? It's not a problem, and it's all 's fault anyway, neglecting the fact that inflation was not an issue during the . Rising gas prices? Again, not a problem, and anyway, blame it on the Saudis. Afghanistan? Also, not an issue. Forget the images you saw on television. Plus, it was not Biden's policy that led to the disaster but those nasty Taliban not keeping the agreement. ? All strictly Putin's fault, never mind that Biden basically invited Putin to launch ‘a small incursion.'

That is why it should not be shocking that after the Chinese spy balloon and the multiple objects shot down by the U.S. Air Force, that it took so long for Biden to speak. And then when he spoke of course it wasn't his fault that China was allowed to invade American airspace. Instead listening to Biden and his press secretary, he was the second coming of Harry Truman and Truman's decision to drop the atomic bomb of Japan in his shooting down the balloon (forget the fact it travelled across the nation before it was shot down).  The unidentified objects shot down? Not Chinese spy balloons and even though we don't know what they are let's blame private companies because that will score well with AOC and ‘the Squad.' By the time he was finished speaking the only ones he did not blame for objects in the skies were little children who let their balloons float up (although just give him time).

This is not what leaders expect from a president. They expect and demand that a president tell them what is happening and what will be done to make things right. Every president since FDR has faced a crisis and leveled with the American people until .

Yet Biden has gotten away with it. Repeatedly he does. Not because he is a masterful politician and speaker like FDR, LBJ or Ronald Reagan but rather because the covers for him, and most Republicans give him a pass.

The media will never hold Biden accountable. But Republicans must hold Biden accountable for his AWOL presidency or risk losing in 2024. It is time for Republicans to ask who is answering the phone at the when a crisis emerges. Who will answer it if China invades or develops and then deploys a nuclear device?

In 2022, Republicans refused to hold Biden accountable and just believed the American people would remember every Biden disaster. They didn't, and a red wave turned into a red drip. From now until Election Day in 2024, Republicans must be reminding Americans of the ever-increasing catastrophes and Biden's ducking of responsibilities. If they don't, we will be facing four more years of Biden and even worse problems to come.

  1. Fraud Alzheimer’s Joe is a disaster, and the USA doesn’t deserve to be destroyed by an incompetent, lying criminal that has been stealing classified documents since he was a senator and is bought by several foreign countries.

  2. This article is spot on….especially the comment about Republicans giving Biden a pass and refusing to hold him accountable. I sometimes wonder if “the swamp” may be wider and deeper than we realize. At least we know what to expect from the Dems and media…but I’m often perplexed by the lack of action and even often time comments and direction from some Republicans…are they all so entrenched in the game of politics that they have forgotten what they’re there for? And are they playing a different game than what we know and see…..and think? Most of the time…I just feel totally irrelevant….I can’t even count on my vote making a difference….
