ANALYSIS – In a powerful rebuke to Team Biden’s political witch hunt against conservatives in the military, the Senate Armed Services Committee just told the Pentagon to immediately halt its latest programs to allegedly prevent and root out ‘extremism’ in the ranks.
This extremism in the military has been the latest false narrative created by the left to discredit conservatives in general and Trump supporters in particular.
The Defense Department initiative was justified largely by the fact that dozens of people charged with ransacking the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, out of many hundreds, were former or current service personnel.
However, critics note that the percentages of those participating in the riot did not show that this was disproportionate to the veteran population at large.
In April, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin set up a Countering Extremist Activity Working Group to supposedly tackle the dangerous issue. However, the group reported in December 2021 that it had found only 100 cases of extremism in a total military force of over two million people — or .005 percent. That’s not much of a threat.
Many also see the Pentagon’s ‘counter-extremism’ effort as a thinly veiled attempt to purge conservatives from the military while cementing its latest radical woke policies. (RELATED: FBI’s Partisan Witch Hunt – Is Bureau Purging Agents Who Simply Attended Jan. 6 Rally?)
‘Spending additional time and resources to combat exceptionally rare instances of extremism in the military is an inappropriate use of taxpayer funds,’ says the committee report accompanying the Senate’s National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).
The report added that these programs should be ended “immediately.”
As Roll Call notes: “While not legally binding on the Pentagon, it appears to send a signal of congressional opposition to efforts to counter extremist narratives in the military.” (RELATED: Shouting Match – Congressman Bashes SecDef Over Pentagon’s Embarrassing ‘Wokeism’)
And to highlight the woke nature of the Pentagon’s anti-extremism effort, Bill Braniff, an Army veteran and director of the University of Maryland’s National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism, or START, made it clear in his email to Roll Call:
What is the impact on morale, good order and discipline, and ultimately combat effectiveness, if the men and women in our incredibly diverse and all-volunteer military believe that the Department of Defense doesn’t have their backs when it comes to white supremacy, support for jihadism, misogynist extremism, or anti-LGBTQ+ extremism?
According to Braniff, and those on the left, anyone who opposes abuse and overreach by the federal government or is critical of the Pentagon’s neo-Marxist and racist Critical Race Theory (CRT) indoctrination or radical LGBTQ+ agenda, is an ‘extremist.’
But the Senate Armed Services Committee says that:
…the vast majority of servicemembers serve with honor and distinction, and that the narrative surrounding systemic extremism in the military besmirches the men and women in uniform. The committee believes that when extremist activity does in fact occur that it must be dealt with swiftly and appropriately; however, the case incident rate does not warrant a Department-wide effort on the issue.
It is uncertain if the final NDAA that Congress sends to President Biden will include the language described above, as Democratic opposition in both chambers could result in deleting or modifying it during negotiations in the coming months.
We can only hope it does though because this false partisan narrative of military extremism being a major danger needs to be quashed – ‘immediately.’ ALD

The Pentagon action on “extremism”is the natural progression of Obama weaponizing the UCMJ to force out senior officers. In his eight years, Obama forced out nearly 300 officers O6 and above.
I had noticed the dozens of times he used military audiences to announce controversial policies and repeat old ones. The officers forced out were reported by other officers for not being enthusiastic enough or even expressing a personal opinion. They were threatened with court martial under any one of five articles, (Articles 88, Contempt, Article 89, Disrespect, Article 90, Disobeying a Superior officer, Article 92, Disobeying an order, Article 134, the General Article [actions prejudicial to good order and discipline]).
Most had 20 years service, so they just retired. They were also warned to keep quiet or be recalled to active duty (Title 10, US CFR) for Court Martial, and lose everything. Sec Austin and Gen Milley were operatives during that purge, and they simply used the Pentagon 60 day stand down “to root out extremism” to get rid of, or threaten more.
The military leaders that didn’t buy into obama’s anti-America liberalism were drumed out of the service and we were left with not military leaders but political stooges for the left wing democrats. God help us if we don’t get the liberals out of our government before they totally destroy our military and our country.

In other words, it is an empty demand, with no means of enforcement, and which the Pentagon can freely ignore without fear of ANY RETRIBUTION. And as it states further along in this article, it may not even be a part of the final package. Another meaningless article about a meaningless exercise, meant to placate that portion of the public who is sick and tired of the Far Left’s war on America and its values.

You are right. I figure it’s going to come down to us to save this country. We have the backing of the Constitution, Bill of Rights, and what the founding fathers wrote about how to deal with tyrants. These guys qualify. Obama and his puppet, Joe “moron in chief” Biden are due for a shellackin’ and deserve every bit of it. We know what John Adams thought about a government like Joe Biden’s, he wrote, “The moment the idea is admitted into society that property is not as sacred as the laws of God, and that there is not a force of law and public justice to protect it, anarchy and tyranny commence.” We know what they were thinking when they wrote the Declaration of Independence, “Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, —That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government.” This is what you do about it, the question is when. What is the line in the sand that will end this tyranny? Is the 3 millionth illegal alien, $7 a gallon for gas, or when people can’t afford to live in America unless they are illegals, commie POC’s, LGBIGOTs, Antifa, BLM, homeless, or democrat politicians. This war is already underway. We are under attack every day that this coup is allowed to continue. and perhaps, unresponsive “representatives” is the finish line that ends Biden’s, Marxist America.
Looks like just more talk with no action or benefit. When do we get some real action?
