The Democrat nominee in one of the nation's tightest U.S. Senate races signed a written pledge to outlaw oil and gas drilling on federal land and ban fracking if elected, Fox News reports.
Pennsylvania Lieutenant Governor John Fetterman, who faces Republican nominee Dr. Mehmet “Dr. Oz” Oz for the Senate seat held by retiring Republican U.S. Sen. Pat Toomey signed a 2016 pledge with the left-wing group “Food and Water Watch Fund” to outlaw oil and gas development.
In 2016 Fetterman mounted an unsuccessful run for U.S. Senate. In 2018 he was elected Lieutenant Governor running as an ally of socialist U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders, vowing to end oil and gas development in Pennsylvania. The pledge, with Fetterman's signature, was posted by Pennsylvania Voters Against Fracking to their Facebook page, as well as a photo of Fetterman signing it.
Fetterman was vocal in his opposition to oil and gas employers – which create hundreds of thousands of jobs in Pennsylvania alone. Pennsylvania is the nation's second-largest natural gas producer, behind only Texas, Fox News reports.
“I'm not pro-fracking and have stated that if we did things right in this state, we wouldn't have fracking,” Fetterman wrote in a Reddit post during the 2016 Senate race. “The industry is a stain on our state and natural resources.”
Fetterman is now running for U.S. Senate again at a time of high gas prices, high energy prices and an economy about to go into recession. His campaign now claims he does not support any ban or moratorium on drilling, even though he repeatedly stated so in public and in writing. “John Fetterman has a consistent record of opposing fracking and wanting to ban it. He even went so far as to say fracking is a ‘stain' on the state of Pennsylvania!,” said National Republican Senatorial Committee Spokeswoman Lizzie Litzow in a statement.
“Fracking is an important part of Pennsylvania's way of life and banning fracking would cost hardworking Pennsylvanians their jobs. The Keystone State deserves a leader who will protect their jobs and way of life,” said Litzow.

How does drilling in another country reduce global warming than drilling the same amount in the US? So then what is the real purpose? Here is my thought because it started in the late 1820s. A group of wealthy plantation owners started a political party and that party’s goal was to control a select group of people. That hasn’t changed. Today they want to control us not just a select few, and he is part of that group. When will Americans finally wake up and realize what is actually happening?

Someone must have told him he could win this seat even though he signed a stupid pledge back in 2016 and tried to get a Senate seat then. Hopefully Pennsylvania has now learned what bring short on gas has done to this country. We were doing great until Biden came along! Now look at us!
Haven’t heard this fool tell us what he’s going to replace those fossil fuels with since we don’t have the technology to do away with them just yet. Guess he doesn’t want anyone to travel more than 2 or 3 hundred miles since that’s the range right now for the electric cars. That doesn’t take into consideration those 18 wheel trucks that move our food and goods around the country. Of course we won’t have airplanes anymore since no one has an electric one yet. Then we have to wonder what energy they’re going to use to charge all these electric type vehicles, and where are they going to place the recharge stations? Better make some lay over facilities since it is going to take awhile to recharge your vehicle. Electric vehicles are OK if you live close to where you work, you can probably get to work and back without a recharge, then just plug it in to charge overnight.
These left wingers have no clue what they’re talking about. If we don’t stop them they will destroy this country, and it will be our fault for allowing them to do it.
