Not just a poet mom. Here is the more complete story. Democrats must stop inciting anti-Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) vigilantism, or more people will get killed. Or is there a bigger plan?
Send in civilians as trained anti-ICE agitators and wannabe vigilantes to harass, obstruct, and impede ICE law enforcement activities, dramatically increasing the likelihood of a dangerous outcome, to raise the heat on ICE and President Trump.
This is how I see the latest case of this far-left Democrat anti-ICE strategy, as a 37-year-old mom, Renee Nicole Reed — who we are dutifully told was a poet (nothing more peaceful than that) — was shot and killed by a federal agent in her car in Minneapolis.
This incident occurred as a coordinated swarm of anti-ICE activists was blocking, harassing, and creating chaos in the street for ICE agents, and the officers tried to stop and detain her.
DHS spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin said in a post on X that “rioters” were blocking ICE officers from doing their job, and that the woman “weaponized” her vehicle and attempted to run over officers, calling it “domestic terrorism.”
Yes, even mom poets are capable of committing violent crimes.
The incident immediately became a lightning rod for the anti-ICE left and Democrats everywhere, labeling her death a cold-blooded ICE murder.
“Having seen the video myself, I want to tell everybody directly that is bulls***,” Frey said. “This was an agent recklessly using power that resulted in somebody dying, getting killed.”
Frey called on ICE to “get the f*** out” of the city. Apparently, he only saw the one video angle that seemed to make his point, as many others are doing.
Then, on cue, Democrats immediately unleashed a barrage of social and other media hits showing short video clips and pics of the shooting from different angles that supposedly proved that the driver was just an innocent victim of ICE abuse.
Some said she was fleeing but not trying to hit the ICE officer in front of her, or that she was simply confused and scared about “unknown” armed men approaching her. Or that she was trying to get out of the way.
Others nitpicked whether the officer was actually hit or just scraped. And where the shots entered the vehicle.
Some try to argue that she was just a mom who got caught in an awful attack by ICE officers for simply being in the wrong place as heavily armed feds “invade” Minneapolis.
Then there are those who argue that ICE agents don’t have the authority to stop, detain, or arrest U.S. citizens, but must have probable cause that the people they are stopping or detaining are in the country illegally, so everything the officers did was illegal.
However, if you look at all the videos and photos from every angle, you see clearly that the woman was refusing lawful orders from uniformed officers she knew were feds to stop and get out of her car.
Instead, as several officers approach, she suddenly puts the SUV in reverse as one officer is reaching into her driver’s side window. She then shifts the car into drive and lurches forward while turning right sharply in an apparent attempt to resist and evade arrest.
As she does, she heads right at another officer who had moved in front of the vehicle, who then draws his sidearm and fires straight through the lower left side of the windshield as he moves left to avoid her driving over him.
This adds to the evidence that the officer was in front, not to the side of her SUV, when he started firing.
He fires two more shots through the driver’s side window as she veers sharply right and takes off down the road, crashing shortly afterwards into a parked car. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said the officer was hit by her car, sending him to the hospital, but he was later released.
Could he have refrained from firing? Maybe. But that is a judgment call, and I’m not second-guessing an officer facing a moving vehicle driven by a suspected criminal evading arrest. We have also learned that this officer had previously been dragged in a vehicle driven by a criminal illegal alien fleeing arrest, and received serious injuries, making his fear for his life even more justified.
OK, well, did the ICE officers have the legal authority to stop her and order her to “get out of the f***ing car” in the first place? According to DHS and the law, that answer is a clear yes.
While most on the left ignore this, Good was described by some Democrat lawmakers as a “legal observer” of ICE activities, which means she was really there specifically to interfere with, impede, block, and harass ICE officers as they pursued their lawful duties, and to coordinate with others to do the same.
She wasn’t just a mom driving her SUV to buy cupcakes for her kid.
In fact, more recent information shows that she was more accurately described as an anti-ICE “warrior” formally trained by organized leftists, like “ICE Watch’ to challenge, document, and resist ICE agents in the field.
The New York Post reported: “Good, who moved to the city last year, linked up with the anti-ICE activists through her 6-year-old son’s woke charter school, which boasts that it puts ‘social justice first’ and prioritizes ‘involving kids in political and social activism,’ multiple local sources said.”
Her involvement in that far-left school community got Good involved in “ICE Watch” — a coalition of leftist activists dedicated to disrupting ICE raids in the sanctuary city.
That group uses detailed forms on an Instagram page to identify, track, and describe police vehicles and personnel, to include make and model, license plates, what agencies they are, uniforms, and what weapons they carry.

She was a member of ICE Watch, a radical group trained to monitor, block vehicles, and disrupt ICE operations in sanctuary cities.
DHS sources confirm she was part of this anti-ICE activist network.

This sounds just like a military SALUTE (Size, Activity, Location, Unit, Time, Equipment) report for actionable intelligence on enemy forces. In Spanish, they call it ACTUAR (or act), but the letters mean the same as SALUTE.
“She was a warrior. She died doing what was right,” a mother named Leesa, whose child attends the same school, told the Post.
And according to ICE, that is what she had been doing all day: tailing, impeding, and harassing them, until officers finally got fed up. In some videos, you can see other anti-ICE “activists” she was working with on foot right up next to their moving vehicles, filming and screaming at them in the middle of the street.
In fact, Good’s wife, Rebecca, who was confronting ICE agents outside the SUV at the time of the shooting, was filmed sobbing, “It’s my fault,” after the shots rang out and she realized Good had been struck.
So, yes, ICE officers had cause to stop her, not because they thought she was illegal, but because she had already committed crimes against them as they performed their lawful duties. And that is one big exception that allows ICE to stop, detain, and arrest anyone, including U.S. citizens.
If you don’t want to get detained, arrested, or shot by ICE officers, stop interfering with ICE officers. It is as simple as that.
But ultimately, to the left, facts don’t matter. This is psychological warfare; the vitriol online immediately spiked, and anti-ICE hatred ramped up even more. Many are calling for the officer who fired the deadly shots to be prosecuted. Minneapolis Public Schools ridiculously closed for the rest of the week “out of an abundance of caution.”
Predictably, protests have now broken out in cities across the country, including New York, New Orleans, Pittsburgh, Portland, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C. All is going according to plan.
Unless progressive leaders call for calm, expect far-left groups like “ICE Watch” to “resist” ICE. They may even continue regardless.

She used her car as a shooter would use a gun, it was self-defense.
Sorry she lost herlife doing something illegal bot you put yourself in danger by interfering withlaw officers.
Mom’s need to bow out of the activist fights with ICE or deal with the consequences. Lucky this stupid women had no kids in the wagon with her. I live in AZ and am sick of illegal aliens in every way. Now these goofy women in northern states are interfering with agents doing their jobs. I watched both the front and back viewed posts and it is quite clear she was trying to take down an officer. So, no sympathy. She paid for her stupidity and to those left there, you can do what she did and risk your lives for illegal aliens who could care less about all of you morons.
No one (except. Walz, Frey, Omar and their crazy liberal followers) believe it is okay to impede, obstruct or assault our law enforcers. Disgusting to see the cowards of the local departments to afraid to stand up to these radical politicians instead of for the safety of their fellow brothers (and sisters)of the badge. They swore an oath to uphold our laws and constitution not to kiss some corrupt politicians ass and endorse their radical ideology.
These coordinated Astroturf paid protesters are clueless clowns.
The US citizenry has reached that moment where the politeness of social order believers will end, and efforts to reclaim civil society’s neighborhoods will begin.
