Minnesota Requests Public Help In ICE Shooting Probe After FBI Severs Partnership

Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty is urging residents to submit any video or other evidence related to the fatal ICE shooting of Renee Good in Minneapolis to her office, amid concerns that the FBI’s exclusive control of the federal probe is limiting transparency and accountability.

Moriarty announced the request Friday after the FBI assumed sole jurisdiction over the investigation into the Jan. 7 shooting, excluding Minnesota’s Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) and state law enforcement from accessing evidence.

As The Hill reports, Moriarty stressed that the state retains the authority to investigate the matter and determine whether charges are warranted, even after the Trump administration cut off access to the case materials:

She said her office would provide a link to submit videos of the fatal shooting to preserve evidence, expressing concerns that the FBI might not share its findings.

“We do not yet know if there will be sufficient evidence without the FBI case file to even make a charging decision,” Moriarty said.

Minnesota’s Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) was assisting the FBI in its investigation, but the federal agency changed course, revoking the BCA’s access to evidence and forcing the state agency to withdraw from the probe.

The dispute over control of the investigation has only deepened tensions between state and federal authorities. After initially planning a joint effort, state officials were informed Thursday that the FBI would assume exclusive control, sidelining the BCA.

Gov. Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey have most vehemently criticized that decision, calling for greater transparency and accountability — underscoring broader concerns about trust at a critical juncture in the inquiry.

You can’t really blame the FBI for cutting them out. Everything the state government touches is crooked, so who’s to say their investigation wouldn’t be also

The recent admission by the ‘victim’s’ wife (passenger in the car) that she in essence ‘encouraged’ her to follow and harass/attempt to interfere with the ICE operation speaks volumes as to the intent and mindset. End of discussion.
NOT trying to minimize the end result by any means but…………………..

The citizens of Minneapolis need to be the adults in the room and stand up to these childish, immature, boofoonish politicians and their radical, anti America ideology. If not, maybe what the majority of our country thinks about the people in Minnesota is correct.
