2 People Shot By Federal Agents In Portland, Officials Say

Federal immigration agents shot and wounded two people in Portland, Oregon, on Thursday afternoon, according to authorities. The FBI’s Portland office is now investigating the case.

The shooting occurred around 2:15 p.m. local time in the Hazelwood neighborhood of Portland and involved U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents.

Local police officers responding to the scene found a man and a woman with apparent gunshot wounds. Both were taken to a hospital. Their current conditions have not yet been disclosed.

The FBI’s Portland office is leading the probe, classifying the incident as an “agent-involved shooting.”

At 7:52 p.m. EST, the Department of Homeland Security released a statement saying, “At 2:19 PST, US Border Patrol agents were conducting a targeted vehicle stop in Portland, Oregon. The passenger in the vehicle and the target is a Venezuelan illegal alien affiliated with the transnational Tren de Aragua prostitution ring and involved in a recent shooting in Portland. The driver is believed to be a member of the vicious Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua. When agents identified themselves to the vehicle occupants, the driver weaponized his vehicle and attempted to run over the law enforcement agents.”

Portland Mayor Keith Wilson (D) also issued a statement calling the shooting “deeply troubling” and urging ICE to suspend operations pending a full investigation.

The incident took place just one day after a separate shooting in Minneapolis, where an ICE officer fatally shot a woman during a law enforcement operation, leading to heightened public scrutiny and protests.

The people in the car ( illegals ) tried to run over the cops and got shot for their efforts. Where’s then problem? Cops ( ICE as well as all police ) have that right, as well as ALL Americans do.
