Critically-Acclaimed Actress Mocks Charlie Kirk’s Murder, Says ‘Wish Granted’

Actress and activist Amber Tamblyn appeared to mock the brutal killing of conservative youth leader Charlie Kirk in a recent social media post — just hours after he was gunned down in front of his wife and young children.

The controversy traces back to a February 2024 Newsweek piece that spotlighted Kirk’s podcast, where he and others debated whether children should be barred from public executions of convicted murderers — a discussion that quickly made headlines.

As Breitbart reports:

The actress was therefore suggesting that Kirk was “executed” for the fictitious crime of exercising his First Amendment right — seemingly in agreeance with a murderous assassin.

For context, the Newsweek article cited an episode of The Charlie Kirk Show, in which Kirk and co-hosts were hypothetically discussing murderers who have been sentenced to the death penalty receiving a public execution, surmising that crime may go down as a result.

At one point during the panel discussion, co-hosts shared their opinions about what they believed the age limitations should be for people attending a theoretical public execution — should they exist.

Kirk was shot and killed during an appearance at Utah Valley University. His wife, Erika Frantzve, and their two young children were in the audience, according to the BBC.

Despite the horrific nature of Kirk’s death, Tamblyn posted a chilling message on Bluesky, the liberal alternative to Elon Musk’s X: “Wish granted.”

The actress offered no follow-up clarification or apology. The post remains live.

A former child star, Tamblyn rose to fame on General Hospital in the 1990s and later earned critical praise for her starring role on CBS’ Joan of Arcadia. She also starred in films like The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, The Ring, and 127 Hours.

In recent years, she’s become more widely known for her political activism, progressive essays, and work as a poet. Tamblyn has been a vocal critic of conservative figures, but her recent comment has sparked backlash — even among some on the left.

No statement has been issued by her representatives.

The Gallup poll and another poll concluded that the vast majority of liberal women are mentally ill. Here we seem to have a confirmation of that.

What else would you expect from a liberal actress that can only say lines for a movie and not have a real job.

She’s a has been (or never was) with a famous Dad. It’s obvious that she can’t think for herself and isn’t a critical listener.

And to think I liked her when she was on General Hospital … now she makes me sick.
