Arizona Democratic Sen. Ruben Gallego is launching an effort to challenge a new Trump Administration immigration policy that could require many green card applicants to leave the United States and complete the process abroad.

According to a report from The Hill, Gallego is not only seeking to overturn the policy itself but is also pursuing a procedural strategy that could make it easier for Congress to reverse the change.

The dispute revolves around a recent U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) policy affecting how certain immigrants obtain lawful permanent residency.

FBI director Kash Patel and deputy director Dan Bongino dismissed conspiracy theories that disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein did not kill himself in a New York prison in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.

“As someone who has worked as a public defender, as a prosecutor who’s been in that prison system, who’s been in the Metropolitan Detention Center, who’s been in segregated housing, you know a suicide when you see one, and that’s what that was,” Patel told Fox News’s Maria Bartiromo on “Sunday Morning Futures,” adding that those who believe something nefarious happened “have a right to their opinion.”

“I have seen the whole file. He killed himself,” Bongino added in their joint interview at the FBI’s Hoover Building.

Their blunt answers represent a significant turn in the long-debated Epstein case. The phrase “Epstein didn’t kill himself” quickly became a viral meme after he died, and Republicans and Democrats in Congress have cast doubts through the years. (RELATED: Justice Or Cover-Up? Epstein’s former girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell, his alleged co-conspirator in the sex trafficking scheme, was convicted in 2021 on multiple charges, including sex trafficking, conspiracy and transportation of a minor for illegal sexual activity. She is currently serving 20 years in prison.

In January, President Trump signed an executive order directing a review of classified records that are of public interest, including documents related to investigations of Epstein and political assassinations. A bipartisan congressional panel also has been tasked with going over the documents.

Attorney General Pam Bondi vowed to release the so-called “Epstein files” of interest, particularly flight logs and any form of “client list” that may exist, though the initial tranche of records fell flat in March. Jeffrey Epstein‘s network encompassed a vast web of influential figures—wealthy elites, politicians, celebrities and intellectuals—whom he cultivated over decades. At its core were his connections to power, money and privilege, often leveraged through his role as a financier and his carefully curated persona as a philanthropist. His relationships ranged from business tycoons like Leslie Wexner, who reportedly played a key role in building his fortune, to prominent figures like Bill Clinton, who flew on Epstein’s private jet multiple times, and Prince Andrew, who was linked to him through well-documented allegations. Ghislaine Maxwell, his longtime associate and later convicted accomplice, was instrumental in facilitating introductions and managing aspects of his operations.

Epstein’s circle wasn’t just social—it extended into darker realms. He relied on a layered system of recruiters, often young women he had previously victimized, to bring in minors for exploitation, creating a self-sustaining cycle that operated across his properties in New York, Palm Beach and the U.S. Virgin Islands. His ties to institutions like JP Morgan, which faced lawsuits for allegedly enabling his financial dealings, illustrate how he embedded himself within legitimate systems. Even after his 2008 conviction in Florida for soliciting prostitution from a minor, he continued mingling with the elite, showing how his wealth and rumored blackmail material—allegedly gathered on powerful individuals—kept him insulated.

Speculation persists regarding possible intelligence connections, with some suggesting his island served as a hub for gathering leverage over global players, though hard evidence remains elusive.
