FBI Seeking New Leads On Jan. 6 Pipe Bomb Suspect

The FBI is seeking new leads on the suspect who placed pipe bombs outside of the Republican and Democratic National Committee (DNC) headquarters a day before the Jan. 6, 2021 Capitol riot.

On Thursday, The agency released more information about the individual whose identity has yet to be confirmed after nearly four years, including an estimated height of 5 feet 7 inches. (RELATED: FBI Whistleblower Raises Questions About January 6 Pipe Bomb Investigation)

The video shows the individual placing the bomb under a bench close to the DNC building. Other footage shows the suspect stopping on South Capitol Street and putting down a backpack that the bureau believes contained one of the bombs.

The individual also appears to put on a pair of sunglasses.

“Over the past four years, a dedicated team of FBI agents, analysts, data scientists, and law enforcement partners has visited more than 1,200 residences and businesses, conducted more than 1,000 interviews, reviewed approximately 39,000 video files, and assessed more than 600 tips about who may have placed pipe bombs on Capitol Hill in January 2021,” David Sundberg, the assistant director in charge of the FBI’s Washington field office, said in a statement

In the video, the FBI also showed pictures of the suspect wearing “distinctive” Nike Air Max Speed Turf shoes.

The latest release of information came on the same day as a GOP-led House panel investigating the incident published a new report. According to The Hill, the subcommittees that performed the inquiry said they looked at “over 90,000 documents, reviewing nearly three terabytes of digital data, and requesting information from law enforcement agencies and private companies.”

“This inquiry revealed a series of security failures associated with the law enforcement response to the pipe bombs,” the panel wrote.

The FBI, alongside the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), is offering up to $500,000 for new information that would lead to the arrest of the suspect.

Whoever it was had better let someone independent know before the leftist FBI Agents get him. They will convince him and the public he was working for Trump not the DNC in a failed plan that changed without his knowledge. His 4 year protection will expire.
