Gun Was Found Near Deceased Clinton White House Aide

-

Additional documents from provide an essential detail not initially reported in the suicide of a former special assistant to President .

In May 2022, a Perry County, , sheriff's deputy found Mark Middleton‘s body dangling from a tree. Using a bench to rope an electrical cord tied around his neck to a nearby limb, Middleton simultaneously hung himself while discharging a shotgun point-blank into his chest.

Middleton left the White House in February 1995 after misleadingly implying he was a mover and shaker. During his tenure, he signed sex offender into the White House seven times. The Daily Mail reported earlier this week that masquerading as an international dealmaker may have endeared Middleton to Epstein.

A 1996 investigation by the White House concluded that Middleton had abused his authority to impress business clients, an accusation Middleton always denied.

In recent years, he worked for his family's HVAC business in Little Rock, far removed from the upper echelons of the political world.

According to the Daily Mail, the initial report by Sheriff's Deputy Jeremy Lawson contained “no sign of the weapon that killed him.”

However, the Perry County sheriff has clarified that a gun was found.

More documents obtained by the Daily Mail show that officers found a Stoeger 12-gauge shotgun 30 feet from Middleton's corpse:

In the new papers, Sergeant Keenan Carter gives a detailed explanation of how he believes Middleton – an aide who signed pedophile Jeffrey Epstein into the White House several times during Bill Clinton's presidency – took great lengths to ensure his suicide bid was successful – after writing a text to his wife saying he had ‘found a perfect place for a nap in the sun.'

He tied an electrical cord round his neck and then shot himself, so if the blast didn't kill him the wire would when he fell.

‘It is then believed that Mr. Middleton pulled the trigger on the firearm casing (sic) it to discharge and strike him in the chest and then he fell from the bench causing the extension cord to become tight cutting off his breathing.'

Carter said in this report that the gun landed so far from Middleton's body ‘due to the recoil from the discharge and the height and angle of the ground.'

The autopsy report ruled Middleton's death a suicide by “contact shotgun wound of chest and hanging.”
