Newly released footage from Minnesota’s Alpha News captures the moments from the perspective of an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent who fired the fatal shots that killed 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good during a federal enforcement operation in Minneapolis.
The video captures tense moments leading up to the shooting, showing Good’s partner provoking the officer just before Good’s vehicle approached. She appeared not to hear or to dismiss another agent’s commands to stop and exit her vehicle.
Good did not seem distressed before attempting to leave.
As Mediaite reports:
ICE officials have said the officer acted in self-defense, and Good used her car as a weapon, a narrative local officials like Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey (D) have rejected.
The new footage, which appears to be from Ross’s cellphone, shows Ross’s perspective from the point he exits his vehicle to after he fires three shots.
“I’m not mad at you,” Good can be heard telling the officer.

Another woman, who seemed to be Good’s passenger, was recording the officer and tried getting into Good’s car moments before she accelerated toward the officer. Previously released footage showed a passenger exit Good’s vehicle before she partially blocked the roadway.
The video appears to capture the moment the device was dropped, though it does not show the extent or speed with which the vehicle appears to strike or brush the agent. As the car accelerates, the footage shows the phone falling while the agent appears to tense and brace himself.
Donald Trump Jr. and other conservative influencers shared the video on X, asserting that it supported the White House’s claim that Good intended to harm law enforcement officers. Trump Jr. claimed that critics owed Vice President JD Vance an apology, referencing a prior law enforcement incident in which the agent who killed Good was dragged by a vehicle during an immigration enforcement operation.
“So you think maybe he’s a little bit sensitive about somebody ramming him with an automobile?” Vance said, chastising the White House press corps at a briefing Thursday afternoon.
“Virtually the entire leftwing media owes [JD Vance] an apology – Starting with [CNN],” Trump Jr. added.
