Philly Mayor Criticized Over Investigation Into Teacher’s ‘Suicide’

-

Who was stabbed 20 times…

The Democrat mayor of is under increasing scrutiny today as his city resists calls to reopen the investigation into the death of Ellen Greenberg.

The body of the 27-year-old teacher had significant bruising in different stages of healing and a massive laceration to the back of her head – in addition to 20 stab wounds – when her then-fiancé allegedly found her in her apartment shortly after a blizzard in January 2011.

Despite that, her death was ruled a suicide. Unsatisfied with the medical examiner's controversial report, Ellen's parents have fought the city, demanding it reinvestigates the suspicious circumstances surrounding her daughter's death.

For the past 12 and a half years.

Digital has more on the brewing controversy, including the political firestorm facing Mayor (D):

“It's hard to believe with the amount of facts in the universe that no one can understand where we stand right now,” her mother, Sandee Greenberg, told Fox News Digital. “And the politicians, they are unconscionable.”

The city medical examiner's office initially ruled her daughter's gruesome death a homicide but then called it a suicide after a meeting with police and prosecutors, according to court filings.

But authorities have maintained that they found no evidence of foul play – without publicly explaining how they reached that conclusion.

After two prosecutors – Philadelphia District Attorney and former Attorney General , both Democrats – recused themselves from reinvestigating the death, Greenberg's supporters have gathered more than 150,000 signatures on a petition to ask Mayor Jim Kenney, also a Democrat, to order the medical examiner to review her case.

As of this article's publication, Kenney's office has not responded to requests for comment.

Upset by what she perceives as a lack of indifference, Sandee Greenberg chastised Mayor Kenney and local judges, telling Fox News Digital: “If they had a loved one walking in the shoes that we're walking in, they would have answers by now.”

  1. “Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner and former Attorney General Josh Shapiro, both Democrats “
Can anyone guess the other common link between these two dangerous socialists who are members of a group well known for Communism, Bolshevism, and Marxism?

    • I would guess they are just parents that are infuriated that a bruised, 20 stab wounds, gash on the back of the head, bruises over her body is called a suicide, case closed, no review… We dont have all the facts and the story “could” be misleading, but why does one party rule solve crimes, close cases and no further review? Anyone with a lick of common sense and an teaspoon of intelligence they would know that Conservativies (over 1/2 the Nation) do not trust the other party. To ally fears and mistrust, do what the family wants.

  2. This story is so sad. The doctors have broken their oaths. Police and the mayor won’t do their jobs. She was murdered. You can’t trust anyone anymore who works for the government. Do doctors at the morgue have a real license? They can’t tell a person was murder or did the police know who did and is covering it up. Big lawsuit would get it going to find the truth. City hates lawsuits because they know they are mostly wrong about everything. They to do their this become Biden doesn’t do his job. Just corruption and lies.
