Prominent Liberal Visited Epstein’s ‘Island Of Sin’

-

American Liberty News recently reported on The Journal's exposé detailing 's private calendar.

Details revealed Epstein's unusually close connections with the rich and powerful extended further than widely believed.

The calendar included multiple meetings with current CIA Director William Burns, including one at Epstein's City townhouse. (RELATED: Epstein's Calendar Included Meetings With CIA Chief, Other Prominent Leaders)

In part two of its investigative report, WSJ chronicled the relationship between Epstein and Democratic Party megadonor . The billionaire venture capitalist even stayed at Epstein's private island in the Virgin Islands.

Hoffman visited Epstein's island after he pled guilty to soliciting prostitution from a minor. A non-prosecution agreement with the Justice Department spared him from a potential life sentence.

Despite an investigation by police that uncovered evidence Epstein molested more than 40 young women and girls, Alex Acosta, then-U.S. attorney for the Southern District of , cut a sweetheart deal because he was told that Epstein “‘belonged to intelligence' and to leave it alone.”

By the time of Hoffman's visit, Epstein's island had acquired a notorious nickname: Pedophile Island.

Hoffman rose to prominence after co-founding LinkedIn. He emerged as one of the Democrat's most prolific donors in 2020 and 2022. According to transparency watchdog OpenSecrets, he shelled out $15 million to limit Democrats' losses in the midterms.

In 2020, Hoffman built a big-money operation to defeat Trump. Vox reported that his connections and closed-door meetings to collaborate with major donors and Biden campaign staff gave “him extraordinary agenda-setting power,” making him “one of the most influential Democratic donors of the Trump era.”

In an April 10, 2023 letter from 's legal team, attorneys for former President learned that Hoffman was bankrolling Carroll's lawsuit accusing the former president of rape. (RELATED: Trump Moves For Mistrial Over Court's ‘Unfair' Rulings)

Besides Hoffman, WSJ's reporting shows Epstein had personal relationships with former U.S. Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, Oscar-winning director Woody Allen, former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak and Leon Black, billionaire co-founder of the private-equity firm Apollo Global Management.

Three of Epstein's contacts responded to the Journal's requests for comment:

Mr. Hoffman said he met with Epstein to raise funds for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and that he regrets interacting with Epstein after his conviction. Mr. Allen's spokeswoman said the filmmaker went with his wife to group social events at Epstein's townhouse. Mr. Black declined to comment. He stepped down after an Apollo investigation found he paid Epstein for tax planning and estate advice.

Mr. Barak said he often visited Epstein when he traveled to New York. He said he met interesting people at Epstein's townhouse where they would discuss and other topics.

“In retrospect, [Epstein] seems to be a terrible version of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, but at the time seemed to be an intelligent person, socially well connected and of wide areas of interest, from science to geopolitics,” Mr. Barak said. He said that he never participated in any parties or activities with girls or women.

The documents show that the disgraced financier kept a busy schedule, filling his days with meetings with politicians, executives and celebrities, including at his New York townhouse and his residence in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Prosecutors alleged in 2019 that Epstein had abused girls and had run a sex-trafficking ring. He died that year in jail awaiting trial in what the New York City medical examiner said was a suicide.

    • SR – it is certainly starting to look like it. Maybe that is why the ‘client’ list is not being revealed – it would be longer than the old white pages telephone book from a major city.
