Shots Fired Outside Republican National Convention

A man reportedly armed with knives has been shot by police in the vicinity of the Republican National Convention.

According to multiple law enforcement sources, Columbus, Ohio police officers, who were in Milwaukee to provide additional security during the RNC, shot a Black man in his 20s near the secure zone at the RNC.

Police officers started administering CPR to the suspect, passed away at the scene.

The Secret Service and the Department of Homeland Security are providing assistance in the investigation.
