Tim Walz Makes Direct Appeal To Trump After Insurrection Act Threat

On Thursday, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz (D) begged to President Donald Trump to “turn the temperature down” hours after the president threatened to invoke the Insurrection Act if the state’s lawmakers don’t “stop” ongoing ICE protests.

The Democrat governor took to X to send out a direct message to President Trump, asking him to ‘stop this campaign of retribution.”

President Donald Trump warned Thursday that he is prepared to invoke the Insurrection Act if Minnesota leaders fail to enforce the law and attacks on federal immigration agents continue. (RELATED: Trump Threatens To Invoke Insurrection Act In Minnesota)

“If the corrupt politicians of Minnesota don’t obey the law and stop the professional agitators and insurrectionists from attacking the Patriots of I.C.E., who are only trying to do their job, I will institute the INSURRECTION ACT, which many Presidents have done before me, and quickly put an end to the travesty that is taking place in that once great State,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

Trump’s warning comes after a second ICE-involved shooting in Minneapolis in recent days.

On Wednesday, an ICE agent shot an alleged illegal immigrant in the leg during an attempted arrest. The Department of Homeland Security said the agent fired because he feared “for his life and safety” after the suspect resisted arrest and “violently assaulted the officer.” The suspect was reported to be in stable condition and is now in custody. The ICE agent was reportedly hospitalized.

The Insurrection Act, enacted in 1807, has not been invoked since the 1992 Los Angeles riots. The law allows a president to deploy the military to suppress rebellions and enforce federal laws. If invoked, it would give Trump the authority to federalize the National Guard and deploy active-duty forces to restore order.

It would also temporarily override the Posse Comitatus Act, which generally restricts the use of the military in domestic law enforcement.

The latest incident follows a deadly confrontation last week in Minneapolis. Renee Nicole Good, a U.S. citizen, was fatally shot by an ICE agent after authorities alleged she tried to ram her vehicle into federal agents during an immigration enforcement operation.

The USA as it was meant to be no longer exists BECAUSE IT NEVER HAS EXISTED. The constant and continuous assaults on it [THE CONSTITUTION] by enemies within has made it into a CONVOLUTION.
We need to realize that two political parties will always fail to UNIFY. First, we need to enshrine the TEN COMMANDMENTS as the overarching governance. Then we need to identify
the HUMAN BEHAVIORS that must be exalted to bring the COMMANDMENTS into life in the real world in real time. Violators will lose or be deprived of citizenship. Those who behave the best will
be praised, recognized and exalted the most. FEEDBACK WILL BECOME THE BREAKFAST OF CHAMPIONS.

Why is it that the TT types NEVER ‘demand’ that their side tone things down, it is almost as if they can’t realize that their side can possibly be responsible for the problems they cause? I know, that is a rhetorical question 😉

Maybe, just maybe things will start calming down when all government jurisdictions start complying with federal law!

What a pathetic excuse for a mayor. He and his ilk encouraged the resistance to our laws, attacking of those who have been charged to protecting our laws and citizens, and THE FRAUD PERPETRATED AGAINST OUR CITIZENS, and he DARES TO BLAME PRESIDENT TRUMP! DESPICANLE!

Idiot. Use local and state authorities to get the agitators and criminals off the street and there won’t be a problem.

Negotiating with terrorists is a lost cause. The choice to de-escalate is in Timmy’s court, and that idiot mayor.
