US House Representative Attacked in DC Apartment Building

-

U.S. Rep. Angie Craig (D-Minn.) was reportedly assaulted in her Washington, D.C. apartment building Thursday morning.

The assault, which occurred in the building's elevator around 7:15 a.m., left her bruised, according to a statement by Rep. Craig's chief of staff, Nick Coe.

“Rep. Craig defended herself from the attacker and suffered bruising, but is otherwise physically okay,” Coe said in a release, noting that “there is no evidence that the incident was politically motivated.”

The lawmaker called 911 and the assailant fled.

Craig told reporters on Capitol Hill Thursday that she was having “a bad morning,” but didn't go into further detail.

The attack does not appear politically motivated, her chief of staff Nick Coe added.

  1. Democrats being assaulted by the criminals they set free? I guess releasing criminals back into the general public has consequences, doesn’t it?
Back to my afternoon nap. Wake me up when the Dems decide to start upholding the laws. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

  2. Terrifying??? being left bruised is NOT what I would call terrrifying – now being killed is what I would call an act of terror.
