While the media dismisses the Trump-Walz ticket’s claims of migrant-inflicted animal cruelty in Springfield, Ohio, reports in Queens, New York confirm it’s on the rise and has been tied to the Hindu community, although experts believe other religious groups are involved.

In a little over a month, at least nine wounded animals or carcasses have been discovered in the federally-managed Spring Creek Park in Howard Beach and the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge in Broad Channel — including five live pigs with partially severed ears.
One of the distressed pigs was found emaciated in a food-filled crate in July, with a deep gash running down its face and its body covered in oils and spices, said Kristen Latuga, who has taken in all five of the ailing swine at her Long Island animal sanctuary, Brucie’s Angels.
Along the waterway, which has been nicknamed the “Ganges” by some, after the sacred body of water in India, people regularly gather to give offerings, typically flowers and fruits, and leave statues of deities as well as prayer flags.
This week, The Post observed Quealy and another animal rescuer, Kim Fraser, track down a trio of piglets that had their ears and tails cut off — roughly 100 feet away from a pair of statuettes of Hindu deities resting atop a mound of turf alongside a trio of flags.
This isn’t the first time western countries have been subjected to foreign religious traditions that sanction animal sacrifice.
The Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha commemorates the story of Abraham and Ishmael, featuring a ritual of animal slaughter; specifically slitting a farm animal’s throat (usually a goat, sheep, or cow) and leaving it to bleed to death. In Austria, a local farmer was terrified to find 79 of his sheep with their throats slit during the festival.
In Italy, during the same holiday, Muslim migrants went to a parking lot to slaughter two sheep, thinking they’d get away with it because it was used for shipping trucks to offload goods, and was closed for holidays.
Islamic terrorists have taken their celebratory slaughter a step further by hanging prisoners from meat hooks and sacrificing them like animals. In 2015, the Islamic State executed three Christian prisoners during the festival.
The residents of Springfield have reported Haitian migrants decapitating geese in parks and kidnapping household pets later seen being prepared like butcher meat, though city officials deny it’s happening.
Haiti is well known for practicing voodoo — a religion that utilizes animal sacrifice. As the poorest country in the western hemisphere, years long documentation exists showing the country’s citizens eating animals that most Americans consider to be taboo or unclean.
