Former NFL QB Launches Campaign Inspired By Charlie Kirk’s Legacy

A.J. McCarron, the Crimson Tide legend who took Alabama to back-to-back national titles, is running for lieutenant governor — and he’s coming out swinging for conservative values.

In a Thursday video, the ex-NFL quarterback invoked Charlie Kirk, whose assassination rocked the movement, saying it inspired him to fight back.

“Alabama’s conservative and cultural values are under attack,” McCarron said. “That’s why Charlie Kirk’s assassination hit us so hard.”

Running as a Trump-aligned Republican outsider, McCarron said it’s time to “send the Montgomery insiders packing.” His slogan? “A.J. for L.G.”

He’ll face Wes Allen, Dean Odle, and Rick Pate in next year’s GOP primary — already shaping up as one of Alabama’s biggest political showdowns.

While McCarron jumps into politics, the NFL is catching major heat for picking Bad Bunny as its Super Bowl halftime performer.

Conservative fans slammed the move, calling it another “woke” stunt by the league after the Puerto Rican rapper’s past anti-Trump comments.

Commissioner Roger Goodell brushed off the outrage: “It’s carefully thought through … We can’t please everyone.”

President Trump wasn’t impressed: “I don’t know who he is. It’s ridiculous,” the commander in chief said.

Now, a petition to replace Bad Bunny with country icon George Strait is exploding online, racking up tens of thousands of signatures in just days.

Should George Strait replace Bad Bunny at the Super Bowl?

Many fans say it’s time to bring real American music back to the big stage — what do you think? Sound off in the comments!

“Can we just Bud Light the NFL already?”
Anybody that considers themselves a patriot and still supports the nfl is stupid….

George Strait would be a much better half time entertainer in the superbowl over BB. America is unique and deserves more true American music and entertainment than a complaining hate DJT entertainer. Grow some balls RG and listen to the American people, for once, who have been supporting the NFL forever. Let’s make us all proud of America and all of the patriots who have made this nation the greatest nation in the world.

Absolutely. George Strait would beat all the other rap selections hands down. Might even bring me back to the game. I haven’t watched or listened to an NFL game since the first knee was taken.
