Gracie Hunt, daughter of Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt, voiced her disapproval of the NFL’s decision to select rapper Bad Bunny as the performer for next year’s Super Bowl halftime show. Speaking on The Will Cain Show on Fox News, Hunt made clear she preferred Turning Point USA’s alternate halftime event and praised TPUSA President Erika—referencing the organization’s effort to provide a family-friendly counter-program.
Hunt said she is “most definitely” looking forward to the TPUSA alternative show, telling Cain she respects Erika for creating “a halftime show for America.” She emphasized the influence entertainers have on younger audiences and expressed appreciation for efforts to promote role models she believes align with American families.
“As someone who doesn’t yet have young children of my own, I can’t imagine how difficult that is to navigate,” Hunt said, noting that Turning Point promotes values she considers important to young Americans. She linked those values to football’s identity, calling the sport “America’s sport built around family.”
Hunt invoked her family’s history with the league, recalling that her grandfather—Chiefs founder Lamar Hunt—named the Super Bowl with families in mind. She argued that he intended the event to be suitable for viewers of all ages, and that the game itself should remain the central attraction. According to Hunt, the NFL shouldn’t rely on “cheap appeal,” especially if that risks alienating fans.
While she did not directly name Bad Bunny in her criticism, Hunt suggested she believes the league’s chosen performers should reflect the NFL’s mission more closely. “The NFL honors women, the military, this country, celebrates communities,” she said. “So, I think that whoever they select going forward for the halftime show needs to reflect those values more closely.”
Bad Bunny’s selection has drawn significant backlash from fans who object to the league choosing an artist known for left-wing activism, cross-dressing, and outspoken criticism of President Donald Trump. Despite the controversy, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has defended the choice, calling it a “uniting” moment for the country. The league has rejected calls to rescind the offer and choose a different performer.
Hunt’s remarks add to growing criticism from viewers who argue the NFL has drifted away from its traditional identity. For her part, she made clear she sees Turning Point USA’s competing halftime show as better aligned with the values many fans expect from the league’s marquee event.

Seijah,
Thank you. Your article was both inciteful and informative.
I noted you were born in Boston, a wonderful city. My son and daughter-in-law live and
work there. I’m unable to convince them to join us in the free state of Florida, which I love because
of their work, love of changing seasons and myriad friends.
Really enjoyed your article and look forward to more in the future.
Best,
Tom Mc Clain
Ps: Have you considered writing a book?
Roger has lost it. How about a replacement who more closely identifies with sane, hard=working Americans. Children are being brainwashed in many schools, football shouldn’t be added to that evil.
