Trump Prepares To Designate Muslim Brotherhood As Foreign Terrorist Organization

President Donald Trump is reportedly preparing to formally designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO), according to a report published Sunday. Just the News quoted the president saying, “It will be done in the strongest and most powerful terms. Final documents are being drawn.”

The U.S. State Department maintains the government’s list of FTOs, noting that such designations are made by the Secretary of State under Section 219 of the Immigration and Nationality Act. The agency describes the designation as a central tool for combating terrorism by cutting off financial support, pressuring groups to abandon violent activities, and enabling a range of national-security actions. Current FTOs include Antifa, Tren de Aragua, ISIS, Boko Haram, and Hamas.

According to the report, Trump has been considering designating the Muslim Brotherhood since his first term. The article describes the organization as an Islamist movement founded nearly a century ago in Egypt, with chapters, parties, and affiliated groups operating internationally.

In June, Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) introduced legislation to officially designate the Muslim Brotherhood as an FTO. “The Muslim Brotherhood doesn’t just support terrorism, it inspires it,” Mace said at the time, arguing that the group represents a threat to global security. Her bill would activate national-security tools such as financial sanctions, asset freezes, travel bans, and enhanced law-enforcement measures designed to dismantle the organization’s activities in the United States and abroad. Mace has pointed to the group’s historical links to radical Islamist movements and its affiliates’ role in fueling terrorism and destabilizing U.S. allies.

The Muslim Brotherhood has also appeared in recent immigration-enforcement matters. In October, the Department of Homeland Security confirmed that a British journalist suspected of membership in the organization was being held in ICE custody and facing deportation.

If Trump proceeds with the designation, it would mark one of the most sweeping terrorism determinations of his administration and could significantly reshape U.S. policy toward Islamist political movements worldwide.

Long past due!!! Islam has no problem against destroying governments that are no pledged to promote and encourage Islam and its evil tenets. Anyone who speaks out publicly puts his/her life at risk from a Muslim Terrorist. No overt battle…….just a Terrorist threat can keep people quiet.
