Army veteran attacks GOP candidate for NY governor at rally. A man brandishing a sharp object who attacked U.S. Rep. Lee Zeldin as the Republican candidate for New York governor delivered a speech in western New York has been charged with attempted assault.
CHINA THREAT
NO KIDDING – TELL BIDEN – China more aggressive, dangerous to US and its allies, Milley says. The Chinese military has become significantly more aggressive and dangerous over the past five years, Gen. Mark Milley said during a trip to the Indo-Pacific.
NOT THE TIME FOR WEAKNESS – Administration fears a Pelosi trip to Taiwan could spark cross-strait crisis. The White House is increasingly concerned about a possible Pelosi trip to Taiwan, fearing it will anger China.
Japanese defense minister: China, Taiwan military balance shifting in Beijing's favor. The military balance between China and Taiwan is shifting in China's favor, Japanese Defense Minister Nobuo Kishi said Friday.
RUSSIA THREAT
Russian tank attack in eastern Ukraine kills 2 Americans, Canadian and Swede. Two Americans, a Canadian and a Swedish citizen were killed this week when a Russian tank opened fire on them during an hours long battle at the frontline in the eastern Donetsk region, their commander confirmed exclusively to POLITICO.
Russia-Ukraine war: List of key events, day 152. Ukraine's military reported that Russian forces were paving the way for an assault on the city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region and were continuing efforts to assert control of the area around the Vuhlehirska power plant, 50km (31 miles) northeast of Donetsk city.
Russia says strike on Ukrainian port hit military targets. Russian defense officials insisted Sunday that an airstrike on the Ukrainian port of Odesa hit only military targets, but the attack tested an agreement on resuming grain shipments that the two countries signed less than a day before the assault.
The US military now seems open to gifting Ukraine new fighter jets, but what type? The United States and its NATO allies are beginning to examine whether to potentially train Ukrainian air force pilots, Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. CQ Brown told Reuters ahead of the Aspen Security Forum.
HMMM? – Ukraine says it needs ‘fast and versatile' aircraft, not the A-10. Air space over Ukraine has been contested for more than five months, replete with advanced Russian fighter jets and near-universal Russian surface-to-air missile coverage that make penetration by aging Ukrainian Air Force MiG-29s and Su-25s both risky and dangerous.
500-plus drones, extra HIMARS headed to Ukraine in latest US assistance package. Plans also call for long-term discussions over what future aircraft Ukrainian pilots could use.
INTERNATIONAL SECURITY
Several killed in clashes between Libyan armed groups in Tripoli. At least 13 killed and 27 others injured in the fighting, a spokesman for the city's emergency services says.
WOW – IDF launches joint F-35 fighter jet drill with Italian Air Force. The Israeli Air Force launches a joint fighter jet drill, dubbed “Lightning Shield,” with the Italian Air Force today, the military says.
US MILITARY AND SPACE
As missile threats grow, don't give up on boost-phase defense. Intercepting missiles early — in their boost phase — is one of the oldest aspirations of the U.S. missile defense enterprise.
FIX THIS! – Mold issues, poor housing conditions for troops are rampant. What can Congress do? Mold in military housing isn't new, having haunted bases for decades. Despite repeated vows from military officials and privatized housing contractors to make sure troops don't have to endure health hazards in their homes, unsafe conditions persist.

We the citizens are damn tired of the coward we have in the WH,this man has no rime or reason he is brain dead along with B. Obama and a few others that no place in our gov. Time for real American to stand up and do what ever is need to get rid of these people, if you want to call them that.
What does Biden and his band of stooges care what China thinks about old Nancy’s visit to Taiwan? What does he think they will do, invade our country? Not likely! Now they just might try and take Taiwan back and could do that before this country even had time to react to it. Biden needs to make sure China realizes that they can’t tell us what we can and can’t do, and let the chips fall where they may.
