This ugly incident highlights the valid concern many have expressed over mass migration of Muslims to the U.S. It eventually becomes a hostile takeover of our cities and towns, promoting terrorism, and suppressing Christian speech by calling it “Islamophobic.”
In an egregious example of hateful un-American behavior, especially by a politician, the Muslim mayor of the heavily Muslim city of Dearborn, Michigan, recently told a Christian minister resident at a public council meeting that he “wasn’t welcome” in the city right after the man had quoted Jesus and his teachings of peace.
Note how often that exact phrase has been called “racist” and “xenophobic” when used by Americans against foreigners.
The person who shouldn’t be welcome in America is the Islamist mayor.
The mayor angrily addressed the Christian resident directly saying that he was a racist and a bigot, and that when he moved out of Dearborn the mayor would launch a parade to celebrate.
Mayor Abdullah H. Hammoud made these ugly and hateful remarks to local resident Edward “Ted” Barham after Barham raised concerns about new street signs honoring terrorist supporter, and Arab American News publisher, Osama Siblani.
Barham, who said he has lived in Lebanon, Israel, and spent time in the Palestinian territories, calmly objected to two intersections being renamed after Siblani, noting the man’s promotion of Islamic violence, even in Michigan, saying “He’s a promoter of Hezbollah and Hamas” before quoting Siblani’s own words.
Barham said Siblani supported Hezbollah and Hamas and could be “inciting violence” in Michigan. The two groups are considered anti-Israel terrorist groups by the U.S. government.
Barham said, “He [Siblani] talks about how the blood of the martyrs irrigates the land of Palestine … whether we are in Michigan and whether we are in Yemen. Believe me, everyone should fight within his means. They will fight with stones, others will fight with guns, others fight with planes, drones, and rockets.”
But that’s not all Siblani has said. He has a long record of controversial pro-terrorist remarks. In 2003 he told The Washington Post, “Mr. Bush believes Hezbollah, Hamas and other Palestinian factions are terrorists, but we believe they are freedom fighters.”
In 2006 he told the Chicago Tribune that “if the FBI wants to come after those who support the resistance done by Hezbollah, then they better bring a fleet of buses. I, for one, would be willing to go to jail.”
At a Dearborn rally in September 2024, he praised Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah as a “hero” as the crowd cheered.
While the signs in Dearborn had been placed by the county, not the city, the mayor aggressively escalated the debate and called the resident an Islamophobe for even bringing up his concern.
Hammoud said:
Because you are a bigot, and you are a racist, and you are an Islamophobe. Although you live here, I want you to know, as mayor, you are not welcome here. And the day you move out of the city will be the day I launch a parade celebrating the fact that you moved out of the city.
But Hammoud was not the only city official to criticize Barham’s comments about Siblani at the meeting.
Before Hammoud spoke, idiot Councilman Robert Abraham pushed back on Barham’s claim that Siblani’s comments could incite violence and said, “We’re not going to allow personal attacks in our community.”
How citing Siblani’s own words can be considered a personal attack is beyond comprehension. Abraham is a co-opted clown.
But this simply cannot be allowed to happen in America. It must be publicized widely and condemned.
Barham, who conducts Arabic-language Christian call to prayer in Dearborn, said to Fox News that the moment has only strengthened his resolve to speak out about freedom of speech and freedom of faith.
“I did not respond to the mayor with hate. I said, God bless you,” Barham said, adding that he takes seriously Jesus’ command to “love your enemies, bless those who curse you.”
But he said the incident was not isolated, pointing to earlier clashes with city officials over his public ministry.
Barham argued there is a pattern of city leadership dismissing Christian speech. He pointed to a 2022 fight over a Christian film event where organizers were accused of “preying on children” simply for offering hot dogs and popcorn at a screening of the popular TV show “The Chosen” about the life of Jesus Christ.

Seems Michigan is becoming ike London….very dangerous.
It is our fault for tolerating this crap. Eventually Dearborn will have sharia law and won’t even acknowledge American law.
Just look at other western countries that have allowed a large influx of Muslims to immigrate. The UK for example. Their allegiance is to their religion not our Constitutional Republic and openly tell us that they are not here to assimilate but to take over. They look down on western values and we are the infidels to them. This will not end well for America if this isn’t addressed.
