Debate Rages Over Punishment For Airman Who Leaked Classified Intelligence

MONDAY  – ‘White, Male, Christian and Antiwar': Marjorie Taylor Greene Defends Suspected Classified Documents Leaker. Rep. Greene (R-Ga.) defended 21-year-old Air National Guardsman Jack Teixeira—who was arrested in connection with a massive leak of classified intelligence—suggesting that Team was targeting him for his opposition to U.S. military support for Ukraine.

In a tweet on Thursday, Greene identified Teixeira as “white, male, Christian, and antiwar” and said this makes him “an enemy to the Biden regime.”

BUT MANY CONSERVATIVES DISAGREE – Lindsey Graham calls fellow Republican ‘irresponsible' for defending Pentagon leaker. Senator Graham condemned his fellow Republican Taylor Greene as “terribly irresponsible” on Sunday, after the congresswoman defended the airman.

AND LINDSEY ISN'T ALONE – Lawmakers urge harsh punishment for national security leaks. Key lawmakers want harsh punishment for the young guardsman who leaked highly online, despite some conservatives' calls for leniency.

RAMPING UP NUKES IN BELARUS? – Russia trains Belarusian pilots in nuclear weapons use. Belarusian Air Force crews have completed their training for using tactical nuclear weapons as part of Russia's plan to deploy the weapons to its ally amid fighting in neighboring Ukraine.

France, Germany not doing enough to support Ukraine, says Poland's PM. The prime minister raised concerns about and Germany's lack of a wholehearted commitment to help Ukraine against Russia and how it affects Warsaw's ability to help.

US MILITARY

  3. I seriously doubt that a 21 yr old had access to this info. A private? Yeah no. It’s another set up.

  4. Airman who leaked classified intelligence? Sounds like a Democrat-in-training to me. Give the young man a raise and a promotion. He’ll make a good addition to the Biden administration.
