ANALYSIS – Lies, lies and more lies. That seems to be the Harris-Biden approach to covering up their colossal failure in responding to Hurricane Helene, while spending huge sums on illegal aliens.
That, and the administration aggressively labeling any valid criticism of their failed efforts “misinformation.”
And unlike the tsunami of criticism of former President George W. Bush during Hurricane Katrina back in 2005, the majority media is now colluding with the federal government to push its official narrative rather than doing its job to hold the administration accountable.
All under the new Democrat propaganda effort called ‘fact-checking.’
Here are just some of the headlines in the ‘state-run’ media coverage of the issue:

So we need to fact-check the fact-checker.
While funds may not have been diverted directly from hurricane relief funds to help illegals, Harris-Biden has spent $1 billion nationwide in FEMA Shelter and Services Program (SSP) funds over the past two years to support the foreigners who Harris-Biden have allowed to invade our country and the communities they have impacted.
SSP is a Joe Biden production, having signed it into law in December of 2022 to respond to the crisis of his own making.
Those funds could have been diverted by FEMA and used instead to help with disaster relief.
Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said last week that there is not enough money available for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to support the communities affected by Hurricane Helene.
As the Boston Herald correctly explained it:
[FEMA is] also there, apparently, to give money to “non-federal entities” as the FEMA website says “to provide humanitarian services to noncitizen migrants following their release from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).”

So now FEMA provides help during emergencies and natural disasters, as well as emergencies of the Biden Administration’s own making.
Hurricane-force winds didn’t sweep millions of illegal immigrants across our southern border under Biden’s watch, the president’s open-borders policies did that. And yet FEMA funds are being used to support the consequences of his actions.
But that’s not what the press reports. Instead, the media’s partisan “fact-checking” misses the target by focusing on semantic trees while ignoring the real forest.
And now we have been hit by another hurricane—Milton—that has smashed into Florida.
Meanwhile, reporting from the ground in some of the hardest hit areas shows how slow and ineffective the federal response has been. Hundreds of people are dead after flooding devastated towns and cities across Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia and Tennessee.
Elon Musk bashed FEMA for “blocking” shipments of Starlink satellite internet packages to North Carolina, posting on X: “FEMA is not merely failing to adequately help people in trouble, but is actively blocking citizens who try to help!”
While FEMA denied claims it confiscated any supplies for hurricane victims, Musk said later that day that the problem was “resolved,” crediting Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg.
Still, as Fox News reported a few days ago: “Speaker of the House Mike Johnson slammed the Biden administration’s handling of Hurricane Helene relief efforts, calling the federal government’s response an ‘abject failure.’”
Fox added:
“At the federal level, this has been a massive failure. And you could just ask the people there on the ground. I have been there. I was in Georgia. I was in Florida, where Hurricane Helene made landfall there on the coast. And then we’ll be going to the hardest hit parts of North Carolina on Wednesday of this week. When you talk to the people who are directly affected, they will tell you that this has been an abject failure,” Johnson, R-La., told Fox News’ Shannon Bream during an interview on “Fox News Sunday.”
Johnson added that the country had more than a week’s warning of the hurricane, and that FEMA should have been much better prepared. And that is the bottom line.
Harris-Biden has failed miserably in helping Americans in need while spending a billion dollars to deal with the illegal alien crisis they created.
