FRIDAY PDB – Dems accuse GOP lawmaker of condoning white supremacy among troops. A Republican senator’s comments appearing to support white nationalists in the military are again exposing the GOP’s lingering anger over the Pentagon’s politicized efforts to root out ‘extremist ideology’ in the ranks.
“White nationalism has no place in our armed forces and no place in any corner of American society,” Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., said Thursday. He urged Senate Republicans to make a similar public pledge in response to comments by Sen. Tommy Tuberville, R-Ala., earlier this week.
Tuberville was asked if he thought white nationalists should be allowed to enlist and serve in the military. “Well, they call them that,” Tuberville said. “I call them Americans.”
Tuberville’s office said the Republican senator “was being skeptical of the notion that there are white nationalists [extremists] in the military, not that he believes they should be in the military.”
Meanwhile pushing the extreme, neo-Marxist anti-white Black Lives Matter (BLM) agenda and Critical Race Theory (CRT) on our troops is OK for Democrats.

THE CRISIS IS DUE TO BIDEN – Soldiers will not prevent a border crisis. Team Biden has used Title 42 to expel illegal border crossers more than 2.7 million times. Illegal crossings may increase to as many as 18,000 a day when Title 42 is terminated.
Marine vet who choked NYC subway rider to death will face manslaughter. Manhattan prosecutors will bring criminal charges against the veteran who used a fatal chokehold on an aggressive, mentally ill passenger.
CHINA THREAT
Chinese warships sail around Japan as tensions rise ahead of G7 summit in Tokyo. A Chinese naval flotilla led by a powerful destroyer has been on a 12-day circumnavigation of Japan’s main islands in a display of military power as tensions simmer over Taiwan.
Sullivan meets with China’s top diplomat as US seeks to reopen communication. White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan met with China’s top diplomat in Vienna trying to resume high-level communication channels with the Chinese regime.
RUSSIA THREAT – UKRAINE WAR
Ukraine gets British long-range missiles ahead of counteroffensive. The donated Storm Shadow cruise missiles is widely seen as a game changer in Kyiv’s ability to mount long-range strikes against invading Russian forces.
Russia-Ukraine war: List of key events, day 443. Russia’s defense ministry denied reports that Ukrainian forces had broken through in various places along the front lines and said the military situation was under control.
Ukraine drives back Russian forces around Bakhmut in its first significant gains in months. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Thursday that his military needed more time before launching a counteroffensive, despite claiming to have struck back in the key eastern battle.
US Abrams tanks for training Ukrainian forces arrive in Germany ahead of schedule. The M1A1 tanks that have arrived in Germany are on their way to the Grafenwoehr Army base to begin training in two-three weeks.

Bipartisan congressional group calls for US allies to label Iranian army as terror group. A coalition of lawmakers on Thursday sent letters to the heads of Australia, India, the U.K. and Canada to urge the U.S.-allied nations to take the action.

‘GET SOME,’ GUARDIANS! – Space Force to hold first ‘orbital warfare’ exercise this summer. Among the exercise scenarios, Red Skies will look at how Space Force operators will handle threatening close approaches by adversary satellites.
INTERNATIONAL SECURITY
US ambassador accuses South Africa of providing arms to Russia for Ukraine war. The weapons and ammunition were given to Russia via a cargo ship linked to a sanctioned company that docked secretly at a naval base near Cape Town in December.
Marine leaders host Thai officials at Camp Smith in Hawaii. U.S. Marine Corps Forces Pacific hosted the Royal Thai Marine Corps for the first Marine-to-Marine Future Engagement Planning meetings between the two countries.
US MILITARY
US Air Force wants drone wingmen to bring ‘mass’ airpower on a budget. If the U.S. has to fight a major adversary such as China in years to come, a top general said, it must bring “mass” in its airpower — without breaking the bank.
