A 23-year-old Israeli-American named Hersh Goldberg-Polin was killed by Hamas terrorists while the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) were attempting to rescue him over the weekend. Additionally, five other Israeli hostages abducted by the terrorist organization were also murdered.
When asked by the press pool during a brief trip from his Delaware beach house to the ocean if there were any updates on diplomatic talks to secure the release of hostages still held by Hamas, President Biden responded, “not now.”
Goldberg-Polin was murdered around the same time, with a gunshot wound to the head – shortly before he could have been rescued. IDF troops located the tunnel where he was held within 48 hours after he was killed.
Footage from Oct. 7 showed Goldberg-Polin being hauled away by Hamas terrorists from the Re'im music festival massacre after he lost an arm while attempting to throw grenades back during the attack.
All of the hostages were expected to be released in a ceasefire deal, according to U.S. and Israeli officials.
National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan stated that “the next few days will be critical” in the efforts to free those still held by Hamas. After a two-week bicoastal vacation, President Biden is set to meet with members of the team negotiating the deal today.
Furious protests erupted across Israel after the military recovered the bodies of six hostages killed in Gaza this weekend. Protesters argue that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has not done enough to protect the hostages.
The New York Times reports on demonstrations across the country demanding an immediate hostage deal:
The national uproar built on months of protests and increasingly aggressive actions by the families of many hostages, who have been attempting to pressure Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel to accept a deal to little avail.
The frustration of the families, who have accused Mr. Netanyahu of sacrificing their loved ones for his own political gain, appeared to reach a boiling point on Sunday after the Israeli military said it had recovered the bodies of six hostages killed in Gaza. The Israeli health ministry said they had been shot at close range sometime between Thursday and Friday morning.
Their blood was on the hands of the Israeli government, said the Hostages and Missing Families Forum, a group that represents some of the relatives, and it called on the public to “bring the nation to a halt.”
The message was echoed by Israel's largest labor union, which declared a strike beginning Monday morning, and by Yair Lapid, the Israeli opposition leader.
For his part, Netanyahu was defiant, declaring in a video message, “I say to the Hamas terrorists who murdered our captives and to their leaders – your blood is on your own heads. We will not rest, and we will not be silent. We will hunt you down, we will find you, and we will hold you accountable.”

Israel and Netanyahu are right. They need to quit being submissive to Biden. They know what needs to be done. Biden doesn’t. Do it right or the terrorism will continue and Israel will never be secure.
Hamas and the hate filled Palestinians are responsible for these deaths. They were aided by Biden/Harris but Hamas is responsible. The USA should be aiding Israel with intel and weapons but not dictating how Israel responds. It is their security at stake.
Why has the Biden-Harris administration not asked the International Court of Justice for a warrant on the Hamas Leadership?
Is it because they are complicit in Hamas’s actions by constantly putting pressure on PM Netanyahu for not having done enough?
Should the parents of Hersh Goldberg-Polin file criminal charges against the Biden-Harris administration as co-conspirators having facilitated the death of Hersh through their sympathetic views and statements about Hamas?
Why the ant-semitic protesters, who are more violent and destructive, be treated same as the J6 protestors?
Are Doug Emhoff and Merrick Garland really Jews or are just confirmed NINCOMPOOPS?
