House Speaker Warns Secret Service To ‘Tighten Up’ Security

PAUL’S DEFENSE BRIEF (PDB): Secret Service needs to “tighten up” and rethink their security protocols after a suspected gunman stormed a security checkpoint at the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner over the weekend, Speaker Mike Johnson said.

The shooting raised doubts about the security protocols at Saturday’s event, where high-level government officials, including President Trump — and the immediate two politicians in the presidential succession line, Vice President JD Vance and Johnson — were in attendance.

Law enforcement believes the shooter was targeting administration officials “likely including the president,” acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said — calling the event a “a massive security success story.”

While that may be true, Johnson noted that: “From a layman’s perspective, it looked a little lax in terms of getting into the building.” I didn’t see the magnetometers, but it doesn’t sound like it was sufficient.”

Johnson, alongside Cabinet secretaries and high-level government officials, entered the Washington Hilton through a back entrance with their own security details, he said.

This marks the third time in three years that a gunman has apparently threatened Trump’s life.

“This can’t go on,” Johnson noted. “[Trump] is the most attacked, maligned political figure in history. He’s very resilient, but he needs greater protection. I think there will be a close reevaluation of how we handle these large events.”

It would seem that all the Biden DEI hires installed in the Secret Service are still there? And I need to remind everyone that the Democrats are still refusing to pay the Secret Service and the republicans in the Senate are still refusing to do anything about it? This is bad tasting stew of incompetency and outright sabotage with the goal of getting our President killed.

    An American

Some people are said to be against Trump’s military actions in Iran.
Will they still be against Trump if he lets Iran build ‘nukes’ and long range missiles with which to destroy our cities ( which they said that they WILL do to us )?
Their Koran explicitly states that Muslims are REQUIRED to destroy anything that they believe is not Muslim!
They’ve tried to do just that for about 1700 years!
There is no doubt as to their intent!
But can Trump win the ‘poll war’ if he becomes just another wimp president?
Can the U.S. survive if Trump DOES allow Iran to weaponize?
    Folks … think!
We either ‘go with the polls’ or go with what will protect America from destruction!
    NOW is the time!
