Arizona Democratic Sen. Ruben Gallego is launching an effort to challenge a new Trump Administration immigration policy that could require many green card applicants to leave the United States and complete the process abroad.
According to a report from The Hill, Gallego is not only seeking to overturn the policy itself but is also pursuing a procedural strategy that could make it easier for Congress to reverse the change.
The dispute revolves around a recent U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) policy affecting how certain immigrants obtain lawful permanent residency.

The Minnesota National Guard last week confirmed that Tim Walz, retired from his military career 59 days before his unit received official orders they would deploy to Iraq, but senior officers noted that Walz had unofficially received notice well before he dropped his paperwork.

Philippine military says Chinese air force jets endangered its patrol plane with flares, risky moves. The two aircraft executed a dangerous and provocative maneuver and dropped flares in the path of a Philippine air force plane on routine patrol in the South China Sea.
Chinese aircraft carrier Shandong deploys to Philippine Sea. The People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) Shandong Carrier Strike Group deployed there for a second time this year.
RUSSIA THREAT – UKRAINE WAR
Top Ukrainian commander says his forces now control almost 390 square miles of Russia’s Kursk region. He is the first Ukrainian military official to publicly comment on the gains of the lightning incursion that has embarrassed the Kremlin.
Ukrainian soldiers describe rapid offensive across border as Russians fled. Ukrainian reinforcements are arriving—including from other fronts, where Kyiv’s forces were already spread thin.
