Amid U.S. military deployments to Middle East…
Nov. 4, 2024 – An Iranian-backed militia based in Iraq, Kataib Sarkha al-Quds, has issued a stark warning to the United States and Israel, vowing retaliation if either nation launches attacks against the so-called “Islamic Resistance” in Iraq. The paramilitary group declared its intent to respond with missile and drone strikes directed at U.S. and Israeli military bases throughout the region.

The threat from Kataib Sarkha al-Quds emerges as the United States undertakes significant military deployments to the Middle East. According to U.S. officials cited in Air & Space Forces Magazine, the Pentagon is dispatching six B-52H Stratofortress heavy bombers, a squadron of F-15E Strike Eagles and additional aerial-refueling tankers, all expected to bolster the U.S. presence in the region within days.
In addition to these air assets, the Pentagon confirmed that warships are also en route, a strategic measure to counter what it described as “evolving national security threats” in the Middle East.

Kataib Sarkha al-Quds, part of a broader network of Iran-aligned militias, has previously voiced opposition to U.S. and Israeli operations in the region, but this is one of the most explicit and high-stakes threats to date. The message adds a new layer of tension as both U.S. and allied forces brace for potential responses from various militias aligned with Iran, particularly in Iraq and Syria.
The unfolding situation highlights an increasingly volatile international environment as large-scale conflicts continue in Israel and Ukraine.
