Israel’s New Year’s Resolution – Strike Iran Nuke Program in 2023?

-

ANALYSIS – Target Tehran? According to CIA Director William Burns, amidst its massive war in , is developing a “full-fledged military partnership” with .

This appears to be going well beyond Iranian-supplied suicide drones, short-range ballistic missiles and advisors in Russia-occupied Crimea and is spreading to a host of other military cooperation spheres.

And this partnership is growing despite otherwise relatively good relations between and Russia.

Along with Iran's sprint to create its first nuclear weapon, the growing Russian-Iranian alliance is increasing the likelihood that Israel, now under its most nationalist government in decades led by Benjamin ‘Bibi' Netanyahu, will strike the Islamic regime sometime this year.

This according to former Trump National Security Advisor, Retired Lieutenant General H.R. McMaster.

Add to these other factors, Communist is doubling down on its support for Russia as well.

Meanwhile, has wasted his entire first two years in office dangerously chasing his pipe dream of trying to revive the dead 2015 Obama-Biden-Iran nuke deal.

Thanks to Biden, we lost a great deal of ground in the Middle East after 's historic successes with the Arab Israeli Abraham Accords.

Instead of building on that tremendous and unprecedented success, and further isolating Iran, we have spent two years bending a knee to the Iranian regime.

Biden has been begging it to return to the failed 2015 deal, even as Iran intensified its proxy wars in the region; continued to support ; attacked our long-standing partners there, such as Saudi- Saudi Arabia and the UAE and crushed peaceful protests in its own country.

And all this time, Iran has simply accelerated its nuclear weapons program.

Just this October, the regime in Tehran put enriched uranium into its newest, next-generation centrifuges at the Natanz nuclear site, a move explicitly barred by the 2015 nuclear accord.

As reported by the Times of Israel, Zohar Palti, a former intelligence director in the Mossad, says Iran, “is at a more advanced level than I can ever remember when it comes to uranium enrichment.”

Palti adds: “They are days or weeks away from enriching uranium to 90%, which is military-grade.” [This] “does not mean they can immediately build a nuclear weapon… but it's very bad, and we've never been closer to it.”

He then stated unequivocally that Israel has the military capabilities to attack Iran's nuclear plants: “I am not implying that Israel is capable, I am saying it is.”

The former Israel spy chief concluded that he believes Israel should prepare for a significant attack on Iran and will have to make “serious decisions” in the near future.

All these developments point to a very dangerous year in the region.

During the “Face The Nation” roundtable McMaster suggested: “if we're going to be in the business of making predictions [for 2023], I think the chances are quite high of a significant conflict in the Middle East, maybe entailing an Israeli strike on Iran's nuclear program.

Perhaps that is Israel's new (old) prime Minister Netanyahu's New Year resolution – take out, or seriously neutralize, Iran's nuke program before it's too late. ALD

  1. This is no huge leap. Israel knows that Biden is weak and won’t stop Iran. Especially since you KNOW they are getting nuclear knowledge from Russia in exchange for their drones. Israel should wait until 30 nuclear missiles are coming their way? No, if they do a pre-emptive, I say good and I would support that. It would not start WWIII because Russia does not have a “if you are attacked, we are attacked” treaty with Iran.

    • Iran has clearly stated “death to Israel” and will soon have the Nukes to make that happen ! And now Israel has a PM with a “set of balls” that will launch an attack and eliminate this threat ! And Russia will be powerless to do anything about it ! And Biden won’t know what to say or do so he’ll take another vacation !

  2. WW3 is much more likely to occur with an escalation of Ukraine AND China attacking Taiwan at the same time (pretty likely).
