ANALYSIS – Adding to the litany of reasons that Joe Biden isn’t likely to drop out of the race for president, much less resign in favor of his vice president, is power hungry Jill Biden’s extreme distaste for Kamala Harris.
“Dr. Jill,” as she insists on being called, never liked Harris. The grudge began early on when during the 2020 Democrat primary race, Harris implied that Joe Biden was racist over his old Senate vote on mandatory school busing.
The First Lady later reportedly admitted that she told Harris to “Go f**k yourself.”
But things apparently have only gotten worse, as Dr. Jill really holds grudges. One source told the Daily Mail that the First Lady’s feeling against the VP is so strong that it could be called “hatred.”
The Mail continued:
Democratic advisors are struggling to push past the powerful role that Jill Biden‘s loathing of Harris, 59, is playing in Joe‘s resistance to pass the mantle to his VP as pressure ratchets up for him to step down as presidential candidate and allow another Democrat tackle Donald Trump.
According to one former Democrat operative in Jill’s circle, the women’s long-seated animosity is ‘one hundred per cent’ part of Jill’s resistance to having her 81-year-old husband step aside.
Because the truth, according to a source who knows the First Couple well, is that Jill’s is now the only voice to which the 46th president listens.
And as far as Jill, 73, is concerned, the only thing worse than her husband stepping down would be Kamala stepping up to replace him.
Dr. Jill never wanted Harris to be Joe’s VP, but grudgingly accepted her after Biden boxed himself in a corner by promising to pick a Black woman as his running mate. His options were limited, and Harris, like Barack Obama, is half Black.
She is also a woman.
Jill apparently likes Harris’ husband much more. Even kissing him on the mouth at the State of the Union.
Former Maryland Attorney General and Democrat Doug Gansler, who worked closely with both Kamala and Beau Biden during their days as attorneys general for California and Delaware, respectively, told the Mail that he believed it would be “hard to imagine someone more qualified” than her to become the next president.
This idiotic assessment flies in the face of Harris’ sheer incompetence as VP, her toxic relationship with her staff, her abysmal poll numbers and the general dislike of her by the voting public.
And then there is her laugh. Donald Trump is calling her “Laughing (or Laffin) Kamala.” I call her “Kackling Kamala.” Yes, with a “K.”
Still, Gansler also pointed out that, whatever Jill and Kamala’s relationship, “Joe Biden picked her and arguably in some way he was elected president because he picked her.” This is another doubtful assumption. Many people voted for Joe and whoever he had as VP just because he wasn’t Trump, but who knows what Biden will do.
And many say we shouldn’t underestimate the reality that the real power behind the throne is Jill. And she wants to stay in the White House almost as much as she wants to keep Harris out of it.
One source told the Mail: “Jill has become consumed by the power and prestige of the presidency and what that means to her.”
She has become so enamored of her lofty role that the aggressive social climber from modest beginnings, even had the Marine Corps band perform an original composition in 2022 entitled, “Fanfare for the First Lady,” essentially Jill’s personal “Hail to the Chief.”
The tune is absurdly to be performed at all official White House functions from her first appearance until she is ready to speak.
It is doubtful, Dr. Jill will ever want to be upstaged by another woman, especially not Kamala Harris.
