New Effort Targets Leftist US Spanish Media Over Migrant Buses Coverage

-

ANALYSIS – A new program aimed at countering the far-left indoctrination by the Spanish-language in the is taking aim at that media's biased coverage of the migrant buses' operations by GOP governors.

The new effort by the conservative Media Research Center (MRC) is called ‘MRC Latino,' and it is a welcome addition to the groups focusing on liberal media bias.

MRC Latino notes that:

Reaction from the nation's Spanish-speaking networks to the transfer of busloads of undocumented migrants from the states of Texas and Arizona to Democrat sanctuary states and cities in the North has morphed- from on-air mockery to alarm, scorn and shock, as Republican governors continue to offer that alternative to qualifying migrants crossing illegally into the country.

As part of their analysis MRC Latino provides a video compilation demonstrating the Spanish media's “synchronized talking points; from the first bus arriving at D.C.'s Union Station through the express deportation from Martha's Vineyard of some 50 migrants sent by Florida Governor ”:

Below the video is an English-language transcript of the video. As MRC Latino explains:

The Latino media newscasts took the issue lightly at first. During this initial stage, they all hammered the talking points of “Abbot is doing this to protest President Biden's immigration policy and the end of Title 42”.

However, when the buses continued to arrive in D.C., then New York, and , the conversation changed. This time around, the media chose drama, by pulling out the “humanitarian crisis” card: “it's a huge crisis!”, a ”crisis in every sense of the word!” they cried in unison.

Next came the “it's hurting our pockets” stage: “This is costing us 12 million dollars!”; “12 million dollars!”; “12 million dollars that all taxpayers are paying!”.

Last, but not least, came the ´lock-em-up´ twist. One Telemundo hostess sported a wide, cynical smile as she joyfully announced- “And this month, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis could be investigated for human trafficking.”

As someone who has spent years appearing on (including appearing on Univision, Telemundo and Spanish), and even co-hosting a Spanish-language radio talk show, I have long advocated for something like this.

With Hispanics making up the largest minority group in America, the mostly left-leaning Spanish-language media targets tens of millions of Spanish-speaking Americans.

And its coverage is horribly biased against conservatives and the . It is even worse in many cases than CNN or .

Their biggest agenda item is pushing for lax borders and open immigration, often highlighting the ‘trials and tribulations' of illegal migrants under Republican policies.

In their appeal for donations, MRC Latino notes:

As a champion of honest journalism, in both English and Spanish, MRC Latino exposes and counters far-left propaganda from networks such as Telemundo, Univision, Estrella TV, and CNN En Español, bringing the truth to the American people…

Spanish-language media uses the same left-wing spin cycle as the , selling the same progressive ideas, lies, and narratives. They have an agenda, and the truth is not part of it.

This is why MRC Latino is such a welcome effort. While some conservatives balk at using Spanish instead of English that is short-sighted.

It is critical for conservatives to take the battle of ideas to Spanish-language media.

As recent polls and elections have shown, Hispanics are not locked in as a liberal Democrat voting bloc.

A huge number are turning toward the GOP, despite the constant barrage of leftist news programming on Spanish media.

Imagine what can be achieved if conservatives truly take the fight to our Latino Americans – in Spanish. ALD

  1. Latinos are naturally conservative and have no time for trannies, drag queen shows, pedophiles, racial division, anti-Christian crap like banning nativity scenes, turning killers loose, and all the other Democrat sheet going on. They also aren’t big fans of open borders bring in millions of aliens to compete for their jobs. They don’t like crazy inflation and $7 a gallon gasoline. Let’s make room for them in the GOP.
