-

TUESDAY – Major dam destroyed in Southern Ukraine. accused Russian forces of blowing up the Kakhovka dam Tuesday, producing massive flooding that could threaten hundreds of thousands of residents as well as a nearby nuclear plant, Europe's largest.

The dam's destruction has already unleashed flooding across the war zone in southern Ukraine, sparking evacuations and triggering warnings of an “ecological disaster.”

The dramatic incident could have far-reaching consequences on the battlefield and beyond.

At least one town next to the dam was already completely flooded and officials are concerned about drinking water supplies throughout the region.

The dam breach comes after Kyiv's forces appeared to launch a new series of attacks across the front lines in the south and the east, fueling speculation that their long-awaited counteroffensive may have begun.

  1. This is why even if the climate warming wasn’t a scam, you have russia and china showing the rest of the world a big FY

  2. CCP destroys hundreds of square miles of pristine coral reefs in the West Philippines Sea every year in order to make military bases on top of them, and no one cares in the MSM.
We all should be less excited about a river being returned to its original course than about the destruction of the reefs, particularly because the MSM is telling us to be concerned about this dam in the Kherson region. Isn’t the lake a barrier to the Ukraine ground forces anyway? Why would the Russians remove the barrier?

    • Actually they do. If for no other, reason than it was a part of Ukraine infrastructure. and as such is a ligitimate target.

  3. Nope. Nice try but Russia didn’t blow up the dam. NATO did. Russia had absolutely nothing to gain and everything to lose by blowing up that dam.

  4. Ukraine destroyed the Russian-built dam, releasing flood waters which then destroyed parts of Russian-occupied Crimea.

  5. No surprise here, other than it took Russia so long to do it. It’s a war folks. Things like this are part of the game. Dams, and Pipelines are legitimate targets inn that “Sport”. It’s a “Ruthless Sport”, and lots a people get hurt, on both sides, unfortunately.
