FRIDAY PDB – NATO allies call China a ‘decisive enabler’ of Russia’s war in Ukraine. This, in their most serious rebuke yet against Beijing. NATO allies also expressed concerns over Beijing’s nuclear arsenal and its capabilities in space.
FINALLY, NATO ALLIES ARE SEEING THE CHINA THREAT!
At NATO summit, a question of what the alliance wants from the Pacific. For the third straight year, a group of countries with ties to the alliance, called the Indo-Pacific Four, have sent officials to attend the summit in person. Members of NATO say this is a sign that the two regions increasingly see their security as shared.
Upcoming DOD Arctic Strategy will engage NATO allies. In March 2024, troops from 13 NATO Allies gathered in Europe for one of this year’s largest exercises, to test the Alliance’s new regional plans and demonstrate NATO’s deterrent power.
Exercise NORDIC RESPONSE, hosted by Norway, Sweden, and Finland saw training taking place across the European Arctic.
