ANALYSIS – Spiritual warfare? Former president Donald Trump’s campaign recently referred to Kamala Harris as the “anti-Christ.” Is the campaign right? Does Harris go well beyond being a pretend believer to being actively anti-Christian?
The evidence suggests that the answer is yes. And in many ways, Harris resembles former president Barack Obama in her non-American upbringing.
Harris, the last-minute replacement Democrat nominee for president of the United States, recently thrust her religion, or lack thereof, into the spotlight by ridiculing a Christian heckler at a campaign event at the University of Wisconsin.
During the rally a group of La Crosse students interrupted Harris’ remarks on abortion with one yelling “Christ is king” and “Jesus is Lord” as the vice president spoke.
In response, Harris mockingly told the student protesters they were at the “wrong rally,” prompting applause from other anti-Christian Democrat attendees.
One of the students, Luke Polaske, wrote on social media Sunday that the vice president’s response was insulting.
“Christianity is the most hated and persecuted religion in the world. I have seen this firsthand when my faith was mocked and insulted by the Vice President of the United States,” Polaske posted on X.
I want to thank @foxandfriends for allowing @GrantBeth4 and I to share our story and message on a national platform. I also want to thank my late father, Paul Polaske, for inspiring me to strive to believe in something much bigger than myself—my faith.

Polaske addressed the vice president directly, writing, “@KamalaHarris, you were right: as Christians, we were at the wrong rally.” He urged his “family” not to vote for Harris.
“I hope as Christians we do not compromise our morals to vote for a woman who does not care about our faith,” Polaske wrote. “We are in the midst of a spiritual warfare this election cycle.”
While I fully agree with Polaske’s sentiment, I would take the argument farther. I would argue that despite her claim to be a faithful Christian and committed Baptist who prays up to twice a day, she is anything but.
And based on her background and track record, Harris may be the most anti-Christian presidential candidate America has ever had.
Thankfully, American Christians are beginning to see through her religious charade.
Similar to Barack Obama’s contrived Christianity, Harris bases her religious credentials on part-time attendance at a far-left politically oriented Baptist church; hers in San Francisco. Like Obama’s Reverend Wright, her radical pastor is far more political than spiritual.
Last night, Harris spoke glowingly about her pastor Amos Brown, but he is a controversial figure.

During a memorial service for 9/11 he launched into a rant about America being punished because of global warming and racism.

Last night, Harris spoke glowingly about her pastor Amos Brown, but he is a controversial figure. During a memorial service for 9/11 he launched into a rant about America being punished because of global warming and racism. ‘America, what did you do in the global warming conference when you did not embrace the smaller nations? America, what did you do two weeks ago when I stood at the world conference on racism, when you wouldn’t show up?’
And while Obama was raised by a Muslim stepfather in Malaysia, Harris was raised by a Hindu mother who influenced her religious ideas.
Amateur Hour author Charlie Spiering hinted on X that what Kamala Harris now says about her religion is not what she used to say.
Kamala Harris last night: 'I was raised to believe in a loving God, to believe that your faith is a verb, you live your faith.'

She was actually raised by her mother to believe in a vengeful Hindu goddess, if you listen to her early political speeches in SF.

The attached page from his book excerpt read:
Harris is steeped in the Hindu tradition. In her early political career, she would refer to her Indian heritage from time to time, citing Hindu goddesses as an influence… during the Indus Entrepreneurs’ first-ever Women’s Forum in April 2004… Harris recalled growing up and hearing stories about Parvati, the benevolent goddess wife of the god Shiva. When Parvati was angry, she manifested the Mother Goddess in the form of the terrifying Kali. Kali is depicted as a dark-skinned, four-armed goddess wearing the skulls of her enemies and depicted holding a severed head and a sword. Harris said the story of Kali, which had been told to her many times as a child, inspired her to become a prosecutor…”
But let’s go beyond her non-Christian religious upbringing and formation. Let’s focus more on her actions. Among Christian voters, Catholics have often been the target of Harris’ very public hostility. And they are shunning her in greater numbers.
“Kamala’s definitely been impacted negatively by a lack of support from Catholic voters,” said Ryan Girdusky, a GOP strategist and Catholic. “She’s polling worse than Joe Biden among a very important demographic. They are the largest single church in America, the Catholic vote will help decide the presidency.”
Harris reinforced that image of hostility last month when it was reported that she would skip the long-established Archdiocese of New York’s annual Al Smith Dinner.
The New York Post reported:
Presidential candidates of both parties, regardless of their faith, have long been a staple at the event. Timothy Cardinal Dolan said he was “disappointed” by the decision, noting the last major candidate to skip it was Democrat Walter Mondale in 1984 — shortly before he was trounced by Ronald Reagan.
But Harris’ disdainful hostility toward Catholics goes back even farther.
The Post added:
In December 2018, when Harris — a Baptist married to a Jewish man — served in the Senate as a member of the Judiciary Committee, she grilled Brian Buescher, a judicial nominee for the US District Court in Nebraska, about his membership in the Knights of Columbus, a Catholic fraternal and charitable organization.
“Were you aware that the Knights of Columbus opposed a woman’s right to choose when you joined the organization?” she demanded to know. “Were you aware that the Knights of Columbus opposed marriage equality when you joined the organization?”
During the confirmation of Justice Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court in 2020, her Catholicism again was litigated by Democratic senators, leading to a rebuke from Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO.)
But it’s not just Catholics she hates. It’s all traditional Christians, especially those rightfully opposed to abortion. And she is happy to punish Christians for their beliefs, including using the federal government to strong-arm them into performing abortions/
As the Washington Examiner noted:
In 2018, then-Sen. Harris proposed and sponsored the Do No Harm Act. The legislation was in direct response to the Burwell v. Hobby Lobby Stores and Little Sisters of the Poor Saints Peter and Paul Home v. Pennsylvania cases, both of which received favorable Supreme Court rulings. In each, the high court allowed for religious exemptions within the Affordable Care Act’s contraceptive mandate.
At the time the Do No Harm bill was introduced, Harris was adamant: “That First Amendment guarantee [of religious freedom] should never be used to undermine other Americans’ civil rights or subject them to discrimination on the basis of race, gender, sexual orientation or gender identity,” she said.
Ironic, considering Harris wishes to undermine freedom and openly discriminate against religious healthcare organizations because they refuse to take the life of an unborn human being.
William Wolfe, founder and executive director of the Center for Baptist Leadership, said according to Fox News, that Harris’ position makes it “crystal clear” that “Christians are not welcome in the modern, pro-abortion Democrat Party.”
Wolfe added:
Frankly, I’m not surprised to learn that a Kamala administration would shred the First Amendment and force Christian doctors and hospitals to provide abortions because ‘expanding abortion access’ is a key tenant of their progressive ‘religion.’ There is nothing that the Democrats value more than the ‘freedom’ to end innocent, pre-born human life in the womb with no legal restrictions or repercussions.
Her fanatical commitment to abortion access and disregard for the First Amendment isn’t a bug – it’s a feature of her platform. I fail to see how any Christian can support such a barbaric and unconstitutional candidate in good faith.
Brian Burch, president of CatholicVote, in an interview with Fox News Digital:
The Democratic Party has gone from safe, legal and rare to now let’s force Catholic hospitals to perform abortions, or we’ll throw you in jail. That’s quite the shift, and I think voters recognize this as a bridge too far.
Fox News added:
Bob Vander Plaats, president and CEO of The Family Leader, an Iowa-based socially conservative group, said he has “never seen an election that represents a bigger contrast of worldview” than the 2024 presidential contest.
“You can’t tell a doctor my so-called ‘right’ to abortion trumps your right of conscience, so I can force you to commit what you believe is murder. That’s not the America I grew up in, not the America our Founders would have ever permitted, but that’s the Kamala Harris America,” he said.
“The First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, the guarantee of religious liberty, is on the ballot. Choose well, America.”
