Arizona State University is once again in the national spotlight over its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion agenda. Despite state and federal bans, an Arizona Board of Regents ban and active lawsuits, the university is facing backlash after another undercover investigation captured an employee willingly admitting that DEI initiatives remain embedded at ASU.
The latest video, released by Accuracy in Media, features Allison Reynolds, an Academic Success Advisor for Psychology at ASU. Reynolds was recorded speaking with an individual she believed to be a prospective transfer student seeking guidance about the department. The individual was, in fact, an undercover investigator.
During the conversation, Reynolds suggested that DEI remains embedded within the university’s broader mission. “We have a huge faculty, both in our department and all the other campuses, and I would say it’s a big part of our general goals and I know it’s been a part of our curriculum and research labs,” she said.
Reynolds also referenced the university’s defining mission statement. “We are a huge university and the purpose statement, or like the thing we use as a defining statement for ASU, is not who we exclude but who we include, that means you run into everyone. So I can’t speak for who you run into, but I know our department really values it.”
When pressed about the curriculum, Reynolds acknowledged existing DEI-related committees and programming within the department. “I do know we still have committees that are DEI as we also have a program called Psych4All. I know it’s a part of our department,” she stated.
Multiple academic and research initiatives sponsored by ASU and funded by the U.S. Department of Education appear on the Psych4All page of ASU’s Psychology Department website. The page also includes guidance “designed for instructors seeking to elevate their syllabi” to highlight BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) authors, claiming that they are faced with “white supremacy.”
At the time of release, ASU had not publicly responded to the latest video. The footage adds to a growing list of investigations by Accuracy in Media involving ASU personnel who willingly admit that illegal DEI initiatives remain active within the university.

I graduated from ASU in1975, from the technology dept. Reading this, I’m almost ashamed to admit that I attended there. They now seem to have completely lost their way, both at the administration level and the educator level. The real world doesn’t care about feelings, it cares about skills and results.
Has anyone noticed the articles referencing how many people from GenZ are losing their jobs because they can’t perform? What these people are doing is not benefitting ANYONE. In actuality, they might be setting up the very problem I referenced in the last sentence.
