The president of the San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD) board has an uncompromising new position for the district’s 100,000 students:
Mask up or get out.
Rising COVID cases have prompted the board of education to return to indoor masking just in time for summer school. On KUSI’s “Good Morning San Diego,” school board President Sharon Whitehurst-Payne reiterated that students enrolled in summer school must comply.
The district has yet to decide if indoor masking will be necessary come the fall, but — in perhaps an ominous preview of things to come — Whitehurst-Payne told students who don’t feel comfortable donning masks to “just not return.”
She added that parents upset about the possibility of a districtwide mask mandate returning on Aug. 29 could opt for online instruction. No mention was made of the negative effect online learning has on students’ academic performance and psychological development.
As Fox News reports:
“They really should wear the mask,” Whitehurst-Payne said in an interview with “Good Morning San Diego” Monday, adding that students who feel uncomfortable with the mask “at that point, just not return.”

“If your student is participating in summer school or other summer enrichment program, please send them to school or their program with a mask,” the district said in a letter to parents, according to KUSI News. “If they do not have one, masks will be provided. Students and staff will be required to wear their masks while indoors only.”

Other members of the SDUSD school board, district Superintendent Lamont A. Jackson and San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria did not immediately respond to a Fox News request for comment.
Research has consistently shown COVID-19 policy responses and the teachers union’s stubbornness to schools reopening affected students’ well-being nationwide. The repercussions of which will be felt for years to come.

They just don’t stop. They’re gonna make your kids conform or else… ya know what if I had to live in that hellhole I’d take all my kids out of that school and home school them. You all have to remember, that’s California. The left wing loony democrats have just about destroyed that state, and yet the people seem to keep electing those same democrats. From reports being published a great many people, and some businesses, have had enough of it and left the state. Those are the smart one, and probably the ones working and paying taxes for their government to squander on stupid actions.
For every student removed from school, they lose federal funding. Considering they intend to force kids to wear masks that everyone knows doesn’t prevent catching or spreading any virus, cold or flu, it’s time for parents to stand up against this nonsense, remove your kids from the school system and home school them.
Just goes to show you can have all the education in the world and still be stupid,ignorant or both just like this so-called president.
