Last September, Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk was shot and killed while debating on the campus of Utah Valley University. Subsequently, University of Washington researcher Mara Maughan expressed the hope that more conservative activists would be assassinated in the same way.
In January, Maughan commented on a Facebook post by AIM Senior Adviser Corey DeAngelis, saying “May there be Tyler Robinsons for you all.” Robinson has been charged with Kirk’s murder and is currently awaiting trial.
Accuracy in Media President Adam Guillette flew out to Washington to give Maughan the opportunity to apologize for her post. “I don’t like it when anybody calls for violence towards anyone, but when you do it towards one of our team members, I take it personally,” Guillette said on camera.
Guillette confronted Maughan on UW’s campus. “Would you like to apologize to Corey DeAngelis for threatening to have him murdered?” he asked. But she was less than apologetic, to say the least. “Oh, my God,” she responded. “Leave me alone.”
Guillette gave Maughan multiple opportunities to express regret for the comment, but she declined them all, instead asking for our team to be removed for trespassing.
DeAngelis publicly shared the threatening comment on X when he received it, calling out UW for their employee’s remark. UW promised to investigate, but, according to Guillette, AIM has heard “crickets” from the school since then.
Even though Maughan’s comment has since been deleted, and her Facebook page is no longer active, she hasn’t made any effort to apologize.
“I honestly believe a little apology goes a long way,” Guillette said. “People say stupid stuff online. We’ve all done that, but all it takes is ‘I’m sorry, I don’t know what I was thinking. I didn’t mean that.’ And I think, generally, people will forgive you.”
This isn’t the only threat or violent act to come out of UW.
It’s the same school that saw 30 pro-Hamas radicals get arrested for causing nearly $1 million worth of damage to property.
Local news channel KOMO News described the damage, saying that “doors were pulled off hinges, others were glued shut, machine manufacturing tools worth thousands of dollars were broken and smashed and a Boeing mural – with fresh paint and signage – was defaced.”
It appears UW is an environment where out-of-control radicals are allowed to spread violence and threats with impunity.

John Kennedy here. The last fundraising deadline passed — and we came up short. Now the woke crowd is celebrating, saying “Kennedy’s finished.” Let’s prove them wrong. Chip in $25, $50, or whatever you can to close the gap and keep fighting.

Anyone who calls for violence against anyone should either spend time in jail ( under sentence of hard labor ), or sent to whatever commie country that they seem to believe is soooo wonderful!
Anyone who actually DOES violence should NEVER get out of jail!
