Republican Congressman Greg Steube (Fla.) has reportedly been rushed to the hospital after suffering a serious injury at his home in Sarasota.
According to details shared on the Florida lawmaker’s Twitter account, the Congressman was knocked approximately 25 feet down off a ladder while cutting tree limbs on Wednesday.
Rep. Steube was kept overnight in the ICU with several serious injuries that are still under assessment but not life-threatening at this time.
We are thankful to the individual who witnessed the fall and immediately called 911, as well as Sarasota County’s Emergency Services for their quick response and transportation.

Rep. Steube has been a member of Congress since 2019.
The Iraq War veteran, former Army infantry officer, and former sheriff of Manatee County was found by a staffer of another Florida Republican, Rep. Vern Buchanan, according to Florida Politics. The staffer happened to be performing delivery work in the neighborhood, according to the report.
