ANALYSIS – The far-left continue to shriek over Islamophobia, mostly to deflect from the much more widespread attacks against Jews and Christians.
We are seeing it in the United States, where being a pro-life Catholic might put you on the wrong side of a federal SWAT team, or where Jews are being attacked and threatened by pro-Hamas terror sympathizers. (RELATED: Pro-Life Activist Biden Tried To Jail Running For Congress)
But Europe may be leading the way in both antisemitism – and anti-Christian hostility – both official and unofficial. And it’s fueled by an alliance between radical Islamists and radical leftists.

A new report is documenting a drastic rise in anti-Christian hate crimes across Europe. The Observatory on Intolerance and Discrimination against Christians in Europe (OIDAC Europe) published its annual report last week, detailing a 44% increase over the course of 2022 in social hostility towards and violent attacks against Christians as well as acts of vandalism and desecration against churches.
According to the report, 748 anti-Christian hate crimes were committed in Europe last year, 38 of which were violent physical attacks and three of which were murders. Arson attacks were also more common than in years past and churches were targeted for firebombings and vandalism, especially in France and Germany. In fact, arson attacks nearly doubled over the course of one year, rising from 60 attacks in 2021 to 106 in 2022.

The OIDAC Europe report noted that “there had been a surge of clear extremism-motivated attacks.” The majority of these attacks were committed by groups with far-left, satanic, Islamic, feminist, or LGBT affiliations… Irish Freedom Party founder and president Hermann Kelly said, “The increase in the number of anti-Christian hate crimes is truly shocking in a supposedly Christian continent. The presence of many millions of the Islamic faith which preaches hatred, domination, and annihilation of all non-Muslims has no doubt added greatly to the rise in anti-Christian violence.”
He added, “A second spike in the anti-Christian pincer movement is that of aggressive and militant secularism of the far Left. Incredibly, they find common allies and goals in the silencing of Christian public presence and influence in European society.”
Meanwhile, Jews are also targets of this Islamo-leftist aggression. Euronews reports that according to Rabbi Menachem Margolin, the chairman of the European Jewish Association, European Jews are very afraid following a spike in antisemitic attacks sparked by the latest Israel-Hamas war.
The Rabbi added that the increase in antisemitism, which include physical and verbal aggression, is something that has not been seen for decades. Anti-Jewish incidents include the destruction of Israeli flags, the vandalization of Jewish monuments and temples, graffiti and death threats. Euronews notes that:
According to figures compiled by the Anti-Defamation League and released on Tuesday [October 24], nearly 590 antisemitic incidents have been reported to French police since October 7, when Hamas launched a deadly attack against Israel. In Germany, the number of such incidents has risen by 240% compared to the same period last year, while in Austria they have gone up by 300%.
The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported:
The U.K., which harbored Jews fleeing continental Europe during World War II, has recorded at least 805 antisemitic incidents since the Hamas attacks, the highest ever across a 21-day period and more than the total for the first six months of the year, according to the Community Security Trust, a Jewish group that has been tracking antisemitism since 1984.
France, Germany and other countries have also recorded a jump in incidents, including Molotov cocktails thrown at a Jewish center with a synagogue and school in Berlin. On Oct. 24, German police arrested a former Islamic State fighter who served a prison sentence for membership of the militant group on suspicion of planning to drive a truck into a pro-Israel rally, prosecutors said.
As always, the main venue for spreading hate messages is social media. But it’s not just ‘hate speech’ and violence by individuals or groups, the state is also increasingly guilty of oppressing Christians.
In its report, OIDAC Europe also noted, according to Euronews, a growing movement to suppress religious liberty and criminalize Christian practices, using extreme ‘anti-hate speech’ legislation against Christians.
In Ireland, the Criminal Justice (Incitement to Violence or Hatred and Hate Offences) Act would shift the burden of proof from the state to the accused, who would need to show that they did not intend to “spread hate.” (RELATED: Police Warn Social Media User After Posting About ‘Adult Baby’ Speaking To Children)
The bill also outrageously criminalizes innocuous things, such as memes on a phone or books on a shelf and could potentially outlaw Christian teachings on sexuality if it conflicts with LGBT ideology.
If enacted, the insane bill would also allow police to obtain warrants to investigate suspected “hate speech” without presenting any evidence to a court.
The list of anti-Christian state repression in Europe goes on and on. And will likely only get worse. But the ultimate targets are both Jews and Christians and the West in general.
As Charles Small, director of the Miami-based Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy states in the WSJ:
Both reactionary Islam and the radical left in the West are both opposed to Western hegemony, and they see the Jewish state in this region as the quintessential expression of Western domination. It is a toxic combination.
