On June 9, 2025, Israeli naval forces intercepted the Madleen, a British-flagged vessel operated by the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, which was attempting to breach the naval blockade of Gaza. Among the 12 activists on board were Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg and Game of Thrones actor Liam Cunningham. The ship, carrying a symbolic amount of humanitarian aid, was redirected to the Israeli port of Ashdod, where the passengers were detained.

As the New York Post reported, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz announced that detained activists would be shown a 43-minute video titled Bearing Witness, which contains graphic footage of the Hamas attacks on Oct. 7, 2023. Katz said the measure is intended to expose the activists to the atrocities committed by Hamas, asserting that their actions amount to support for the terrorist organization:

“I congratulate the IDF for the quick and safe takeover of the ‘Madleen’ flotilla to prevent them from breaking the blockade and reaching the shores of Gaza,” Israel’s defense minister, Israel Katz, said on X.

“I instructed the IDF to show the flotilla passengers the video of the horrors of the October 7 massacre when they arrive at the port of Ashdod,” he wrote.

“It is appropriate that the anti-Semitic Greta and her fellow Hamas supporters see exactly who the Hamas terrorist organization they came to support and for whom they work is, what atrocities they committed against women, the elderly, and children, and against whom Israel is fighting to defend itself,” he explained.

The interception has drawn international criticism. Governments from France, Sweden, Spain, Iran, and Turkey condemned the seizure, labeling it a violation of international law and calling for the activists’ release.

Thunberg and her fellow activists maintain that their mission was a peaceful effort to deliver humanitarian aid and draw attention to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. They have accused Israeli forces of “kidnapping” them in international waters, a claim that Israeli authorities dispute, stating that the vessel was lawfully redirected under the naval blockade enforcement.

The incident has intensified global debate over the legality and morality of Israel’s blockade of Gaza, the use of military force against humanitarian missions, and the broader implications for international law and human rights.

Showing videos of the Hamas attacks will not change the minds of Greta and her crowd. They’ll just say it shows the “righteous outrage” of the persecuted Palestinian people.

This is a PR stunt, NOT a humanitarian mission.

There is apparently an international conspiracy to destroy the nation of Israel, and it is a sad commentary on the state of the nations of supposedly western nations France, Sweden, Spain, and all of the others that have shown the level of anti-semitism that exists within those borders of those countries. They are a lot of sad sacks that cannot bring themselves to condemn the behavior of those that are terrorist’s in Gaza and that continue to breach the borders of Israel to commit atrocities there and everywhere that there is a Jewish presence. The world owes Israel an apology and support in their effort to maintain a peaceful, productive country that actually demonstrates what can be done in a God forsaken part of the world, and they should be garnering support world wide. The fact that France, Sweden, Spain, and others that are supposedly western nations are not in support is a damning and disgusting commentary on the state of those countries as well as the rest of the world. We can apparently withstand the atrocities that are happening in Israel and South Africa without a problem while self congratulating ourselves on our civilized behavior. I don’t think that is what Jesus would call it, although I hesitate to suggest that I know much about what his take would be. May God bless the nation of Israel and the people within its borders, and may they be successful in achieving their goals of security and safety for their citizens.

War is hell. Has the world forgotten how inhumane we are to each other??? These atrocities are why the supposedly civilized people DON’T WANT WAR!!!!! Let’s go back to treating others as we would want them to treat us.

This weirdo needs to stay home and mind the business of her nation not any other nation’s business. She is not entitled to rule anywhere else. We are fed up with these obvious not right in the head people. Turn them around and send to party else where. If they get taken by the criminals in the area, good luck with the bail out.
