The Harris-Walz campaign has yet to flesh out a coherent platform or share it with the American people. They appear to be walking a line between both candidates' progressive politics and their need for mainstream appeal. While her plans for the country remain a mystery, voters may take a cue from the consultants she's asking for advice. She's imported socialist-affiliated advisers from the United Kingdom to help her with her pathway to victory following their win.
The Daily Caller reports:
Mattinson, a top adviser to U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer, is set to travel to Washington, D.C. next week for meetings with Harris-Walz campaign strategists, according to Politico. Mattinson will brief the strategists on how Starmer and the Labour Party, a left-wing party affiliated with the Party of European Socialists, secured the prime minister seat in July, the outlet reported.
Mattinson is not the only Starmer aide to meet with Harris's team, Politico reported. Some of Starmer's closest aides, including his head of political strategy Morgan McSweeney and communications director Matthew Doyle, made a trip to the Democratic National Convention where they met with Harris's team, according to the outlet.
As Harris reportedly looks to lean on the European socialists for advice, the vice president has yet to define her policy platform and participate in many unscripted moments. More than a month into her presidential campaign, Harris's campaign has yet to post a policy platform on its website. By contrast, the Trump campaign features the Republican National Committee's platform as its own.
The lack of defined policy for the Harris campaign is a particularly pressing issue for the campaign as she has changed positions on multiple issues, and has failed to adequately explain them. Despite waiting a full month into her campaign to sit down for a real interview, and all the time she had to prepare, when Dana Bash questioned her on her flip flops, all she was able to offer was that “her values had not changed,” leaving voters in the dark about policy in general, and why she had chosen to change her point of view on the few issues her campaign was willing to talk about.
She has discussed pieces of her economic platform, including Soviet era price controls on grocery stores and $25,000 housing grants for first time buyers.
Politico reports:
One former colleague who worked alongside Mattinson on Labour's campaign, granted anonymity to speak frankly, said she wanted to “put the ‘hope and change stuff' to one side” and maintain a ruthless focus on Harris's appeal in swing states.
It's probably sound advice, as swing state polling has foreshadowed abysmal results for Kamala Harris in November.
Well I hope that all you Kamala fans realize the Harris Campaign is reportedly bringing in a Socialist Advisor. Is this what ytou truly want for our Country??
So the Communist is bringing in a Socialist, why? Most sane people know that Socialism and Communism don’t work and a lot of people get killed.Pay attention folks!
