A journalist for the Associated Press was among those recently killed during an Israeli airstrike.
Four journalists were among at least 14 people killed in an Israeli airstrike at the Nasser Medical Complex in the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis on Monday morning, officials at the Hamas-run Gaza Government Media Office and Health Ministry said.
The Washington Post reported on the timeline of the strikes:
The first strike hit around 10 a.m. local time, and the second 10 to 15 minutes later, said Khaled al-Ser, a surgeon at Nasser Hospital who was in the operating room when the attack happened.
Hossam Al-Masry, Mohammed Salama, Mariam Dagga and Moaz Abu Taha were the journalists killed, the media office confirmed in a statement.
Dagga, 33, had been working as a freelance journalist for the Associated Press since the conflict began in October 2022.

She was a true hero, like all of our Palestinian colleagues in Gaza.…
Cameraman Hussam al-Masri, a Reuters contractor, was killed as he recorded video of the initial hospital blast.
“We are devastated to learn of the death of Reuters contractor Hussam al-Masri and injuries to another of our contractors, Hatem Khaled, in Israeli strikes on the Nasser hospital in Gaza today,” a Reuters spokesperson said in a statement.

And what was being fired from the roof of or in proximity to this hospital? Or what size Hamas headquarters element is under the hospital? Or what Hamas leader was in that headquarters? Or what weapons systems were being controlled from that headquarters? This is and has been a techniques that has been used all over the middle east for decades, and that includes not only hosptials, but school, chrches, mosques, and other “non combatant” areas that are used by terrorists to wreak havoc on whoever they choose to wreak havoc on and they do it form these areas. Maybe they should have taken down the targets using ground troops. House to house is a very ugly warfare and would certainly cost a lot of lives on both sides. How can this be stopped. Maybe get Hamas (and others) to stop their attempt at a different genocide that has been going on for a couple of thousand years against the Jewish people.
