Yet again, the United Nations reminds us how different America is from the rest of the world. While some of the loudest critics of the U.S. are busy chopping down the Amazon to host climate change conferences, others—like a high-ranking UN judge—are being convicted of literal slavery.
A British jury found Lydia Mugambe, a Ugandan high court justice and UN judge, guilty of enslaving a young woman under false pretenses. According to the BBC, Mugambe, 49, was pursuing a doctorate at Oxford when she lured the victim to the U.K. with the promise of a real job—only to force her into unpaid domestic servitude.

Mugambe tried to evade justice by claiming she had diplomatic immunity, which has now been removed 🚫

In footage released by Thames Valley Police, Mugambe appeared shocked when an officer said he was arresting her under the Modern Slavery Act.
She then had a conversation with the officer, in which she said: “I am a judge in my country, I even have immunity. I am not a criminal.”
Asked to reaffirm that she had immunity, Mugambe told the officer: “Yes, I have a diplomatic passport.”
The conversation ended with the defendant saying: “I came here as a student, I don’t need anyone to work for me.
“I didn’t come with her, she asked me because she has worked at my home before, she asked me.”
During the trial at Oxford Crown Court, prosecutor Caroline Haughey detailed how Mugambe preyed on the woman’s vulnerability. “She abused her position to manipulate and control the woman, who had no knowledge of her legal rights in Britain,” Haughey said.
Court records show that Mugambe arranged the victim’s visa through a contact at the Ugandan High Commission in London, claiming she’d be employed in a diplomat’s residence. Instead, the woman’s passport and immigration documents were seized upon arrival, trapping her in Mugambe’s home.
Eventually, the victim managed to reach out to a friend for help, sparking a police investigation that exposed the full extent of Mugambe’s exploitation.
Mugambe denied all charges but was found guilty on four counts, including forced labor, conspiracy to intimidate a witness and an immigration-related offense. When the verdict was read, the courtroom reacted with audible gasps, and proceedings were briefly halted when Mugambe appeared physically distressed.
Her sentencing is set for May 2.

Aren’t diplomatic passports for diplomats, not students. Seems like she is trying to gaslight the British justice system as well as her “slave.”
Typical of UN goons. How many of em supported Hamas and other terrorist organizations. Defund and quit this glorious institution. And fill their HQ building with Homeless and Disabled American Veterans.
And never forget…Biden Revived Slavery.
