Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

The cause of Friday's inferno remains under investigation.

Speaking to the Bowling Green Daily News, the Bowling Green Fire Department's Public Information Officer Katie McKee described the efforts of first responders to save the building and the extent of the damage:

McKee said the structure no longer has a roof, confirming that it had collapsed.

Friday's sunrise had to compete with the plume of gray smoke spewing out the top of the structure, home to Paul's office, the law office of Kerrick Bachert, and Dezign Tees.

Several large tree limbs in front of Paul's office had to be cut down so a hose could reach through the second floor windows. Firefighters manned the aerials of trucks 1 and 6 to get at the flames from above.

According to McKee, nine units responded to the scene – a total of 31 personnel, not including two deputy chiefs and Bowling Green Fire Chief Justin Brooks.

In 2017, the senator's neighbor broke several of Rand's ribs when he tackled him over a yard waste dispute. The injuries led to having part of Sen. Paul's lung removed.

A Kentucky jury awarded the senator more than $580,000 in damages.

  1. My bet for the fire in Senator Paul’s office would be arson by either a Fauci Follower or Antifa. Sadly, that is the state of politics in this country now.

  2. I have very mixed feelings concerning Paul. He isn’t a real conservative and also not a real liberal. He seems to play a “ridge walker role”. But to have his office set on fire is really too much. I have said it once and I will say it again the demoncRAT communist Party is the most evil institution in America and needs to be abolished . “NOTHING IS OFF THE TABLE FOR THESE REPROBATES DISGUISED AS POLITICIANS”. Everything bad in America is due to the demoncRATS radical agenda to destroy America.

  3. However the fire investigation pans out, arson will out. It cannot be concealed, this day and age. Every accelerant leaves a telltale chemical signature. But if it WAS arson, the saddest truth concerns our nation: ‘A house divided against itself cannot stand.’ — A. Lincoln
